What is a good product for protecting my hair from the high heat of a straightener?

I've seen an expensive product at the salon, but was wondering if there's any stuff on the shelf at Walmart that works as well.

There are shampoos and conditioners that make your hair straight too. If you blow-dry your hair, finish on the coolest setting (that makes your hair straighter) and blow-dry it often, brushing your hair at the same time.

P.S. I suggest Herbal Essences Dangerously straight products.

P.P.S. And if you don't like to use products that test on animals... There are still products out there.

I got my hair straightened but I didn't know that my hair was getting straightened . I found out only when people told me . My hair wasn't curly though . Nothing happened to my hair . It is just the same . Try washing your hair with conditioner before you get it straightened.

Gro-Aut oil. It has a coconut, olive, and jojoba oil base which is very good for protecting the hair. The olive oil nourishes, conditions, and improves the strength and elasticity of hair and the jojoba oil restores natural moisture to hair and scalp and helps repair damage;also helps control scalp sebum, the major cause of some hair and scalp disorders.
