My hair is dead!?

Last year I went crazy with my hair straightener, and I didnt even apply the heat protectant. Before my hair used to be very soft, okay straight and veru shiny, now its just dead and its forming curls, which I hate. Anyway what shall I do to restore my hair? I've got a hair trim done, I use Garnier Fructis Long and Strong and condition my hair .And oh yes I will not be touching my straightener for another WHOLE year!

Well, My first thought would be to step it up in the shampoo and conditioning department.. Paul Mitchell has great products.. and be sure to invest in a leave in conditioner.... and it takes 4-6 weeks for a conditioner to take full effect. Drank lots of water to help hydrate, get a trim every 4-6 weeks.

My hair is dead!?

hair dies anyway shortly after it grows out of the scalp.

lol sorry i have no idea how u can fix ur hair,my only advice is 2 continue treating it the way ur doing, and let the "dead" hair grow out

My hair is dead!?

Well, your main problem is that you completely dried out your hair. In order for it to be smooth, shiny and manageable; there has to be a certain amount of moisture in it. When you used the hair straightener, you took all that moisture out. Just like what would happen if you took a flame to a plastic bag with water in it; the water falls out and the bag crumples up to hold in what little moisture it has left.

Your only real option is to use a shampoo and conditioner that adds extra moisture and to NEVER EVER EVER use a hair straightener without applying the heat protector!
