i have really poofy hair. i use a hair straightener and that works a little bit. it is really curly yoo. is there any other way to straighten it besides frying my hair for the rest of my life?

well i straighten my hair everyday for school , and it is normally really curly, so i belive i can help,

first get a straightening shampoo, anykind there is ,

then get a really good straightener, like vital sassoon, chi, or a salon one. also get something that staightens your hair before you do use the starightener, like straiight up, by tigi. all of this should make your hair super soft, and smooth, and STRAIGHT!! good luckk

Do you use hair straightening products? If not, you should look into Thermasilk or Sunsilk prior to using an iron of any kind, that will help you to not fry your hair.

I know that you can use perm solution to straighten you hair, but it doesn't work as good as straightening it. You can still straighten your hair but have healthy hair. You can get regular trims and condition it and use special damage shampoos. Most girls I know straighten their hair and most of them still have healthy hair, but whatever floats your boat I guess! If you wanted it to be straight forever, you could get IHR (Ionic hair retexturising). This is expensive and the roots would need to be redone every 4 - 6 months.

I don't personally know anyone who has had it done, but I have done research about it online because I was asking myself the same question but decided against this.

back in the '60's, we used to iron our hair. yep, with an iron. works only for long hair, though. heat the iron to permanent press or cotton,, get a cotton tea towel, bend down and spread your jair out on the ironing board, cover it with the tea towel and 3 or 4 passes with the iron. for tough curls, you can use the shot of steam once or twice. check out the Beatles' "A Hard Day's Night" for a look at authentic "mod" hair.

Get a Maxi Glide they really work! Even for the poofiest hair. If you don't know what a Maxi Glide is it's a $80 flat iron but it works different than most flat irons and its worth every penny!

From John Freida anti-frizz, pantene straightening lotions, tresseme, garnier, loreal, herbal essence, the whole line of bedhead, other tigi products called "S-factor," Matrix products, Pureology, Sebastian, Aveda.

You don't even need those with the CHI straightener.

It's good to use a little bit of heat protecting lotion beforehand but seriously, this thing straightens my entire head of hair in 15mins. Maybe 20 if it's really humid out. And this is compared to doing it in an hour. Sometimes even more than that. So, while it's expensive, it will last you forever, and is the best product I have ever used for hair straightening.

first put sunsilk straighten up it realllyyy!! works in your hair:

so shampoo and condition your hair then deep condition it with a different brand something ment to deep condition

let it sit for 15-20 min then rinse your hair out so the deep conditioning is out

then.. u can let your hair air dry or blow dry it i like to air dry

then take a ceramin straighting iron and get it ready before you start though make sure to put some kind of preotection in yyour hair first

then seperate your hair into party and straighten very slowly to get a more straight look
