Will straightening your hair while it is wet damage your hair?

Even if it is a hair straightener made to straighten you hair while it is wet will it damage it? I am afraid that it will damage my hair.

Will straightening your hair while it is wet damage your hair?

i have a remmington wet/dry straightner, dont use it on dripping wet hair, let your hair air dry for a little bit then use it when your hair is damp and make sure the heat levels arent that high bc depending on the texture of your hair you will fry your hair, especially if the holes on top of the straightner get clogged were the steam comes out; the steam from the water will get trapped inside the straighter n bounce right into your scalp and thats when you hair will burn out. Believe me ive done it. I prefer to just blow dry my hair then use the straighter when my hair is dry. its the best straighter ive ever bought in spite of. (just have to get used to it)

Will straightening your hair while it is wet damage your hair?

If you have a wet to dry straightner no but regular one yes!

Will straightening your hair while it is wet damage your hair?

yes, definitely.

Will straightening your hair while it is wet damage your hair?

god yes!!!! do not do this!!!! your hair will be fried

Will straightening your hair while it is wet damage your hair?

dont do it while its wet. it'll just turn out worse. just brush it, then put in anti-frizz straigtening cream while its wet, and once its dry do it. it'll come out 100% better. =)

Will straightening your hair while it is wet damage your hair?

all straightening damages your hair

Will straightening your hair while it is wet damage your hair?

A regular flat iron will but a wet to dry flat iron is made for wet hair. Those are fine to use on wet hair. If you still don't feel comfortable using it on wet hair let it dry first.

Will straightening your hair while it is wet damage your hair?

yes even with a wet to dry straightener its bad. you hair is like a straw, when its wet, there is water under neath the cuticle.*in the straw* ironing that blows up the cuticle, litterally. the steam builds up pressure in the straw and BOOM. cuticle is ruined, permanently. it will be fuzzy and frizzy is you do that and then leave it unstyled after a wash. its horrible, don't do it. A wet to dry minimizes the damage, but you cuticle will still be fried with repeated use.

Will straightening your hair while it is wet damage your hair?

i straighen my hair while it is wet and my is completely FRIED! but i found that using aussie sydney smooth heat protector + leave-in conditioner spray doesn't completely eliminate fried hair but it does help to reduce it. hope this helps!

Will straightening your hair while it is wet damage your hair?

YES!! it will fry your hair and while your doing it you will hear your hair frying...it sounds like your making baken...but if your talking about one thats made for wet hair then maybe not...as long as it doesnt sound like your frying an egg.....you should be ok!

I think that his hair is naturally curly and he just blow dries it, or uses a gel or mousse. Orlando Bloom is way hott!

Poofy hair??

I have naturally straight hair %26amp;%26amp;now its beginning to turn poofy. does n e one have any tips on to make it back to straightened hair? besides a hair straightener??

Poofy hair??

Use Big-Sexy-Hair "smooth serum". After towel dry your hair add this smoothing serum to your hair and use a vent brush an blow dry. Works awesome!

Poofy hair??

Most essential thing to remember. DO NOT BLOW DRY, if you already have poofy hair. I know it's almost winter and the air is dry, but it's better if you just air dry it.

you could try to use some mousse. it's a lot lighter than hair gel, and works really well. holds the form and shape pretty well.

Panteen and Dove hair products also work really well, if you are not using them already. there are also therapy hair products that you might want to try.

Poofy hair??

it is called puberty... my hair was long ans straight and a golden brown and now it is poofy medium length and wavy

Poofy hair??

Over the years hair texture could change depending on health and environmental conditions. Try using smoothin serum or conditioner. Check out Beautyriot for more options and advice, this is the link, http://www.beautyriot.com/SEARCH/beautyR...

Poofy hair??

Hmm.. by poofy do you mean frizzy (by any chance)? If so, try a shine serum/gloss. I hear John Frieda %26amp; Paul Mitchell have good ones.

Is the bed head straightener 2" good enough for my mom's very curly hair?

I wanted to get her one for her b-day but right now I cannot afford the chi brand

Is the bed head straightener 2" good enough for my mom's very curly hair?

I think so. I never used it but I use some of the bed head products and they are great so Im sure that would be. Just keep ur recipt and make sure its returnable!

My hair!!! Help!?

hi. I use to use a hair straightener. I put some friz crontrol in my hair first. my hair fried anyway! can anyone tell me a type of gel or anything that my prevent this from happening again?

My hair!!! Help!?

Use Dove smoothing cream before blowdrying. It works wounders for me! Then I use Aveda's smoothing stuff after, then straighten. It works!

My hair!!! Help!?

GHD heat protecting spray (cant exactly remember the name). but ghd straighteners get the hottest so a spray designed to protect for the hottest of the hot is definatly the best!

also use LOTS of conditioner on you hair

try not to straighten your hair every day, give it a break!

as a cheap alternative spraying hairspray before you straighten will protect your hair, but dont put frizz control on because this is not designed to take the heat from your straightneners and your probably hearing it literally sizzle your hair to death!! if your hair still looks a little frizzy afterwards put the frizz control on then but only a tiny bit or your hair will go greasy

so yeah hairspray, protective spray and conditioner!!

xxxx

My hair!!! Help!?

Go to the beauty Salon and get Redken Hot sets 22. Its to protect your hair, help straiten and give a sleek look. Or you could get a good quality Hairspray. perferably from the salon. Get one section at a time and spray the Hot sets or the Hairspray and straiten one small section at a time. these products are pricey but they really are awesome. I use them. Also you might try a better straitening iron. Like a Chi. they are about $150 and up but its a good investment. Save up for it. Chi also makes hair products to use.

My hair!!! Help!?

hey, this is really weird but get unscented lotion and put it in ur hair! but not to much because then it will get really nasty!

Bouncy Hair w/o curling iron-& with just plastic rollers ?

will plastic/sponge/old school rollers work alone with a blow dryer or a hair straightener..i cant buy a curling iron =[

and i want a look with the full bouncy curls at the bottom of the hair lik the pic enclosed from

curly hair tutorial-with old school rollers -www.pursebuzz.com

http://pursebuzz.com/?p=11

Bouncy Hair w/o curling iron-%26amp; with just plastic rollers ?

well i have really curly hair in the first place but it's really messy so i straighten it first with an iron then i use plastic curlers and roll them up starting from the bottom, you can use a bit of hair gel for each bit of hair that you want to curl, after you roll all your hair up you blast your hair dryer on the curls for a minitue or so, then you slowly take off the curls and use some hair spray {don't use too much cos the hair will look stiff and don't use too little cos then the hair will fall off easy)

you can also use a round brush and blow dry the top part and wrap the bottom part around the brush and blow dry it to make loose curls, but this way the hair gets frizzy very easily.

the third way is to use your normal hair straightener and wrap your hair around it like you do with your curling iron, but use a low heat setting cos you don't want to damage the end of your hair too much. The normal iron method works just like a curling iron but i've noticed that the curls are less bouncy and more zigzag like with this method. anyway i hope you find the method that you like.

Bouncy Hair w/o curling iron-%26amp; with just plastic rollers ?

it will work, the trick is to put the rollers the right way, for example if you place the roller in the middle and wrap your hair around it, you will get like mary kate and ashley curls but if you roll your hair with the roller like starting at the bottom you will get it like goldilocks, you knwo waht i mean, the angle matters as well, just use hairspray, and dont straighten it, the curls will eventually "fall" to a more natural look!

good luck

I'm looking for a hair sraightener??

soo im looking for a hair straightener JUST for this summer, so i don't want it to be really nice. where can i find an ok straightner that's $20-$30, lyk which drugstores, or stores.

please tell me the name of the straigtener please!!

thnx!

I'm looking for a hair sraightener??

My straightener is called Jibere de Paris.

I got it at Sally's in a Wal*Mart plaza for about $30.00

I have had it for about a year so it should be cheaper by now.

Good luck on finding one!

I'm looking for a hair sraightener??

try Ulta. my bff got her straightener there

I'm looking for a hair sraightener??

You could try conair infiniti, not sure how much it is. I so wish I could afford CHI flat iron, lol. Oh, and message me, have something I want to discuss with you

What is wal-mart's best hair straighteners?

Thick hair,kinda kinky not curly.

What is wal-mart's best hair straighteners?

I use Citre Shine. It comes in a white tube with orange and black label. This is used on damp hair before you blow dry.

I also use Vavoom spray. It is in a clear bottle with black label. This I use on dry hair just to tame kinky hair and give it shine.

I have long hair and don't need to use too much of either of these. If alot is used, your hair might look greasier than what you would like. Start off with just a little bit of each. You can always add more if needed.

What is wal-mart's best hair straighteners?

i have an andis multi-heat straightener...its black with ceramic plates...it works really well and it sounds like your hair is the same as mine...it takes me about 15 minutes to straighten mine and this straightener gets really hot...its good...a little heavier than you would expect but from experience if a straightener is really light it usually doesnt work worth crap...

Hope this helps...

What is wal-mart's best hair straighteners?

I highly recommend the flat iron that goes from wet to dry. It lasted for a very long time and you can pick the heat you want it to be on i did 35 degrees and my hair is nappy and puffy and it works. it also leaves it shinny. (i dont mean to sound like a commercial.)

What is wal-mart's best hair straighteners?

I don't know the best hair straighteners at Walmart by brand exactly but try to buy a ceramic flat iron. The suggested brand (but unsure if at walmart) is I think Gold %26amp; heat or something like that...I know it gold and something. Ceramic irons supposdely hold heat better.

What is wal-mart's best hair straighteners?

Girl, I tried most of the flat irons that they have at wal-mart, and none of them are very good, if you want something that's gonna make your hair feel awesome, i'd go to sally and get a curlmaster ceramic, (about $50) or even better the CHI which runs on the more expensive side but it's totally worth it and I promise you will love it!!!

What is wal-mart's best hair straighteners?

i dont know the exact brand name, but i got mine at walmart and it was only like 15 bucks! it works amazing. like on the package it says it heats up to 375 degrees. thats the one i got and it works amazing for me, it only takes like 5 minuites to do my hair in the morning.

What is wal-mart's best hair straighteners?

I have Remington Wet2Straight. I got it at wal-mart for like 20.00-30.00. It has multi-heat settings and it works really well. It has ceramic plates that heat up well! You can also use it when your hair is damp or wet, not recommended though.

How can I straighten my hair daily without damaging it?

I've been straightening my hair every day with a hair straightener for a few weeks... And lately, I've been getting a lot of split ends. I have to straighten my hair every day, or my hair will look weird because it's layered. How can I do this without damaging my hair?

How can I straighten my hair daily without damaging it?

No, however you can keep the damaging very limited. I straighten my hair almost every day. Make sure that you use a good shampoo and conditioner, maybe one that is for re-hydrating or repairing your hair. At least use a straightening shampoo and condition, like Hairapy... (it is the one in the purple bottle). Also, before sraightening use a little product to keep your hair hydrated and looking its best. I suggest Silk Theraphy, or the straightening product by Hairapy. Also, try to keep up on your split ends. Gets your split ends trimmed frequently to prevent your hair from "splitting" further.

I hope this helps!

How can I straighten my hair daily without damaging it?

You cannot heat style your hair every day without damaging it. Depending on your hair type, your best bet might be to try a straightening balm, or for a more permanent solution, a mild relaxer. These are available at salons Also, check out the site below for curly hair tips.

How can I straighten my hair daily without damaging it?

Well there's really not any way to not damage your hair while straightening it, but I would suggest going to a salon and having it professionally straightened, and that will reduce the straightening iron damage! good luck!

How can I straighten my hair daily without damaging it?

Try biosilk silk thereapy, before you use the flat iron. You need to cut off the split ends first, they won't go away any other way.

How can I straighten my hair daily without damaging it?

Have you seen the ceramic plated hair straighteners? They work great.

How can I straighten my hair daily without damaging it?

well, you are gonna get some damage even if you use the heat treatments. my hair's layered too. and it gets wavy, and I straighten under special circumstances, so i either play up the waves or make the pony tail my friend. try to cut back a lil on the straightening iron, your hair will thank you.

How can I straighten my hair daily without damaging it?

.

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

Ideally- I dont want to pay more than 50 pounds . My hair is medium length

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

I've tried a few different hair straighteners, but GHDs are by far the best. They are expensive but are definitely worth it. They heat up to 207 degrees in 7 seconds. They are hard wearing and will last you years. Worth investing in. (i got mine on ebay, much cheaper there!)

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

either conair or remington

both are excellent

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

ive heared the Remington ones are really good. get them from argos

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

I have Tresemme and they are excellent. These cost me 鎷?0-鎷?0 and I have same length hair as you. Great value staright every time

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

I have one that's called Revlon. I bought it at wal-mart , it's fast and it works great. You should try it!

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

I've always found remington quite good. I've got the wet to straight ones at the moment which I wouldn't fork out for again, but all the other remington ones I've had have been wicked

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

Avoid Remington wet 2 straight ones, I have them and used them once, they're crap

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

ive got babyliss pro 230c straighteners but not sure how much they are. you can buy them anywhere. they look the same as the GHD ones and are just as good

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

The best place to go is Sally's' hair and beauty supplies. I got mine from there, they stock all straighteners that are in the Hairdressers. There is also some which you can buy direct from the Internet. www.ghsdirect.com. As recommended by my sister.

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

try www.hairstuffdirect.co.uk

Better than ghd and a lot cheaper - the wife loves the ones I bought for her

Sad but true and yes I do need to get out more

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

i have one vidal sasson before and they work good...i bought babyliss one clearance at argos, think 鎷?0 now鎷?0 but they so so bad,not make my hair straight at all, they glass one not ceramic...avoid them... so u should look around for deal,go to boots store too, they have great range of it.

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

i love my ghds but they are expensive

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

i have ghd's very expensive but are really good before i had ghd's i had remington straightners there just as good just take's a little longer but for 鎷?5 pound who's complaning about taking an extra 10 mins.if you do get remingtons 1 word of advice dont wrap the cord round them it breaks them really quickley.

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

Make sure you buy ones that heat up to 230 degrees. Some only heat to 180 and they are rubbish. Mine are FHI. I bought them on the internet and they are great.

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

GHD hair straighteners are by far the best value for money, I had tried the cheaper versions of ceramic straighteners but found some of them lost the ceramic coating and turned my hair green (not a great style for a night out), others just took so long to heat up and actually straighten my hair, I had to go over the same section a number of times before my hair was what I would call straight. With the ghd ceramic straighteners they heat up a lot quicker and straighten the hair on the first glide down the sections. Ghd salon irons are 鎷?5.50 and worth every penny. Good luck with your search I do hope you find what your looking for. I have checked up on different sites and would advise you to check out the web addresses below. In the dooyoo site I recommend going to saks professional straighteners-reviews

What are the best value ceramic hair straighteners?

i have nicky clarke ceramics, about 鎷?5 from argos....very similar to ghd but cheaper, the diff temps.

How do you do your hair in the morning??

Depending on how fast I have to get up and out of here!!

Most of the times, brushed back into a ponytail.

How do you do your hair in the morning??

i dry it and then about an hour or so later it ends up in a messy bun.....my hair is too straight for a straightener and I don't understand all those people with straight hair that use them

How do you do your hair in the morning??

I brush it out, and pull it up in a pony tail, or leave it down, or I put it in a hair clip or messy bun.

How do you do your hair in the morning??

Brush it, pull it back into a clip or ponytail, spray a little hairspray on and I'm good to go. Wash it at night or afternoons and it's naturally straight.

How do you do your hair in the morning??

How do you do your hair in the morning??

i brush it out, put gel in it/wet it down, and put it in a lower-down kind of ponytail.

because usually i take showers at night....

(i don't have much time in the morning to style/wash my hair; but the other, bigger problem is that i have WAY too much hair and it's really thick and poofy and curly and annoying and frizzy... 0_o it's a nightmare! i tried using tons of shampoos like anti-poof stuff but it never EVER works)

How do you do your hair in the morning??

I straighten it, brush it, spray it, leave

How do you do your hair in the morning??

I straighten it the night before w/ a straightener. Then in the morning I have to straighten it again. Yea, my hair is a pain.

+ I airdry it.

How do you do your hair in the morning??

i let my hair out of a bun [i sleep with my hair up], and then i shake it out, and then tame it down a little with my hands, and then i'm done.

How do you do your hair in the morning??

I use wet to dry by conair. I bought it for 25 bucks at target. i takes like 30 seconds to heat up, and it has a pretty big paddle too. i can use it right after showering and my hair is totally dry and straight!!

Help hair!!!!?

im going to get tthe corioliss for hannukah. you can use it wet to straight, on dry, or even really curly hair. its pretty expensive ($150-$180) but so worth it. you can also style it curly by twisting the straightener. my friend has it and uses it every day, she says its worth every penny.

I've just discovered how wonderful hair straighteners are!?

I am now going to buy one, are they all the same or are some better than others? What should I look for? Also, what is the best way to straighten hair - I've never done it before!

I've just discovered how wonderful hair straighteners are!?

Now There are plenty of hair straightners on the market all ranging in price from the cheap $19.99 all the way to $299.95 Being the glorious GHD's.

It really all comes down to how much you'd like to spend $19.95, what can I say you get what you pay for. For around $100 you'll find ceramic irons made from "Highlift" They'll do the job for the money over time the plates do brown or burn them selfs out but will last you at least a year or 2.

On the other end of the scale lets say you've got some cash a pair of "GHDs" will last you forever and if you do break them they can fix them at a reasonable price, they also come with a year warranty and some deals will even give you free products. But check out ebay Australia and you can pick them up next to cost price being $200.00

As for how to Straighten hair, well make sure if you hair is curly either lightly straighten it first with a flat brush ( known as a Paddle Brush), be certain its bone dry or else the water will boil in the hair and dry it out real fast or else if you buy somthing like the GHDs just dry it off by hand and let the irons do the work for you.

I hope this makes things clear to you

I've just discovered how wonderful hair straighteners are!?

NEVER USE A FLAT IRON ON WET OR DAMP HAIR , I have a GHD and i dont ever do it wet or damp let your hair dry fully ALWAYS before you use a flat iron.If you buy a revlon , read the online reviews to c if it dries the crap out of hair before you buy. Report It

I've just discovered how wonderful hair straighteners are!?

Straighteners rule the world! Just make sure you get your hair cut more often if you straighten it a lot because you do actually get split ends faster.

GHD's are expensive but very good and remingtobns are quite good aswell and not as expensive.

The best way to straighten your hair is to use a big hair clip thingy and do it layer by layer.

I've just discovered how wonderful hair straighteners are!?

Make sure you get a ceramic hairstraightener. GHD make the best ones so ask your hairdresser for stockists. When straigtening, straighten the hair layer by layer from underneath to the outside. You can also buy protector spray that protects your hair from getting dried out in the heat of the straightener.

I've just discovered how wonderful hair straighteners are!?

get one that is narrow, and has ceramic plates. the ceramic is less damaging to your hair, and heats up much more easily.

the easiest way to straighten is to put all but the bottom layer of your hair into a big clip on top of your head. straighten the bottom layer, and repeat with the next one, and the next, until you run out of hair.

make sure to start straightening at your part (which is why you need a narrow straightener) so that you don't get an awkward crimp.

I've just discovered how wonderful hair straighteners are!?

I RECENTLY BOUGHT A STRAIGHTENER MADE BY REVLON THAT DOES WET OR DRY HAIR. I PULL THE TOP LAYER UP AND DO THE UNDER SIDE OF MY HAIR FIRST, THEN THE TOP. I NORMALLY DO MINE WHILE IT IS ALREADY DRY THOUGH.

I've just discovered how wonderful hair straighteners are!?

I am extremely happy with my Corioliss dry staightener. It will also put big curls back in once you've straightened it. I have VERY naturally curly hair and this is the first iron I've found that can actually straighten it. It also leaves my hair silky soft without damaging it. I got it over the holidays in a display at the local mall, but they're much cheaper on E-bay. Check it out at the link below.

I've just discovered how wonderful hair straighteners are!?

GHD http://www.ghdhair.com/index.php?c=us is the best ceramic straightner, use GHD thermal protector

or their iron oil or WELLA HIGH HAIR flat iton spray http://www.wella.co.uk/pages/Home-SalonP...

to protect your hair before ironing .

Good luck

I've just discovered how wonderful hair straighteners are!?

Don't use hair straightener a lot only once every 3 weeks because it will damage your hair if you use it more than that.I know people that used it a lot and they wish they had never used it because their hair was completely damaged.

I've just discovered how wonderful hair straighteners are!?

Girl where have you been, its like a God-sent!!!!

There are different ones...you'll just have to look around!

I'm using the GHD straightener...

look out for the GSG straightener as well!

Happy hair days!

I've just discovered how wonderful hair straighteners are!?

I have tried all kind of flat irons even ones from salons and found the Conair Infiniti to work really well and it is 100% solid ceramic the only kind I will use. Also look for one with a temperature dial or a digital so you can adjust the heat for your hair. The slim flat irons like a 1" is good because you can get closer to the roots when you straighten your hair. Some like the Chi I read they break and the Hia, Solia and the Sedu have good reviews. Also Babyliss are good too.

What products can i use to keep my hair straight?

I use a hair straightener but it doesnt last long.

What products can i use after straightening, before straightening or during showering, that can keep it

straight for a long period of time.

Also my hair gets all static-full sometimes,so whats going on,

and what can i do to get rid of it?

What products can i use to keep my hair straight?

SunSilk straight shampoo, conditioner, and hair balm or

(all SunSilk Products) or straighter of course :]

What products can i use to keep my hair straight?

Get some shine products, that will help the static. It is probably getting static-y because of the cold weather, and the straightner drys it out which causes static. Invest some extra money on hair products, usually the more expensive the better. But not always, be sure to read the label.

What products can i use to keep my hair straight?

i have that prob too and the only thing i kno that is ok is L'Or鑼卆l Paris straightening but that only works a little

What products can i use to keep my hair straight?

static happens when your hair is lacking moisture- something that happens more often during the winter because of the dry air. i would reccomend a REALLY good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner- i like Eufora Moisture Solution shampoo and Intense Hydrating conditioner. Brocato also makes a good hydration system (the saturate line, which also has a good leave in conditioner that would help), and if your hair is colored you might want to invest in the more expensive Pureology Hydrate line, which isn't cheap but works amazingly good, plus it will make your color last longer, which means fewer damaging coloring sessions which will cause these sorts of problems.

but above all, definitely start using a moisturizing leave in conditioner and thermal protection spray before you flat-iron. these will both protect from the heat of the straightener, which dries out your hair even more.

also, when you shower, wash your hair with lukewarm to cool water- hot water is drying. also, try not to wash your hair every day if you can- the natural oils that your hair makes are the best moisturizers of all- which is another reason to use cool water- your hair will still look clean, but it won't strip out all those oils.

once you've straightened, try using a holding paste, like garnier fructis surf hair. it really helps hold the frizzies down, and also separates hair a bit, so the straightening job looks more natural, and shows off layers more (if you have them).

good luck!!!!

Poofy and frizzy hair...help?

yeah, i have really long poofy frizzy curly hair and the only thing that ever kind of works is my hair straightener..but when i go outside...it curls right back up from moisture and humidity...i need either some good advice on how to keep it straight..or to work with my curls...also..i'm getting a "new school year" hair cut soon...any suggestions on what would be a good style for my hair type? i'd really appriciate any tips =]

Poofy and frizzy hair...help?

Sunsilk De Frizz

Poofy and frizzy hair...help?

Hunny, Its impossible with the humidity,

Try mousing your hair,

After your shower Put mouse in your hair,

Scrunch, and blow dry.

Its more a beachy look too.

Good Luck!

Poofy and frizzy hair...help?

Yeah..... Same here.... *lol* I have tried to straighten my hair on humid days, and it just doesn't hold. Those days, I just let my hair go natural (curly).. Sometimes I use a little gel or mouse to help set the curls. Keep a spritz bottle w/plain water, and as your hair starts to frizz, give it a few sprays, it will tame the frizz.

VERY importantly, moisturize! Use a moisturizing shampoo (I love biolage, or bioterra - but pantene is good too), and deep condition ATLEAST once per week. I use aussie deeeep conditioner. It says leave in 3 minutes, but you can leave it in longer. Occasionally I leave it in for an hour or more - I just pin it up w/a clippy, and do stuff around the house in the meanwhile.

Good luck to ya! =)

Poofy and frizzy hair...help?

I had some serious out of control hair after treatment. tired John Frieda and everything silicone. It did not work Then I tried a Redken product called All Soft Silk Fuel. Absolutely the best product... and believe me, I tried them all!! Love the whole All Soft line. I also use Redken hair wax and Deep Shine by Rusk, both amazing stuff. But let me tell you. I don't know why kind of flat iron you are using, but buy a really good one, like Chi. My hair is REALLY frizzy and it flattens it right out and does not frizz up afterwords. The Chi costs about $100 at a beauty supply place and worth every penny. Good luck!!

Poofy and frizzy hair...help?

i have to same problem. my mom is a hairdresser and so is my sister and they suggested that the best hair straighter to get is something from a hair salon because it will protect your hair when you straighten it.

i wear my hair both straight and curly . when i straighten it i use a hair straightener and use a hair straightening shampoo. and when i just let my hair curl like it does naturally, i use a curl shampoo and then i put mousse on it when i am scrunching it to cause it to be more curly and not soooo frizzy. good luck

Poofy and frizzy hair...help?

try John Friedas Frizz ease it controls future frizz.

Poofy and frizzy hair...help?

I have very curly hair that frizzes so easily so I've tried just about every product out there. What works the best for me is Redken Smooth Down Products. I use the Smooth Down Shampoo, Butter Treat, Heat Glide, and anti-frizz serum. These products works well if you leave your hair curly or straighten it.

As for a new haircut, when you go to get it cut you can get to the appointment early and look through some books to see what you like. And I'm sure your hairstylist can suggest something depending on what you are looking for.

Poofy and frizzy hair...help?

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences "clean happy" conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

Poofy and frizzy hair...help?

1. Shampoo %26amp; Conditoner Aveda Smooth Infusion

(The shampoo is most important because it is healthier for your hair and makes it less frizzy. it does not contain any sodium ingredients like your average shampoo. even bed head has sodium ingredients.)

2. Use a straightening lotion / cream.

i recommend Aveda Hang Straight or Pureology Straightening Balm

3. Blow Dry THOROUGHLY use a round brush with thick bristles and then run the flat iron through it.

(I recommend investing in a very nice hair dryer like Solano, and a nice straightener like the Chi. You can use all the products in the world, but this is perhaps the most important: having the right equipment.)

4. Use Finishing Gloss / serum. You can get Pantene, John Freida, Paul Mitchell or just about any type of gloss or serum will lock in shine and significantly reduce the frizz.

5. Finally, if you really want to lock it in and make extra sure that it will stay smooth, use a MEDIUM hold hairspray like Paul Mitchell's or Aveda's Air Control. This will definitely keep the frizz down.

Lastly, if all of this sounds like a bit too much to do (which i can imagine it would be very time-consuming if you have long hair) then I honestly would just recommend treating yourself to chemically straightening your hair.

* Go to a professional salon and make sure you consult someone who has had a LOT of experience with hair straightening. Despite what rumor might say about this process "ruining" your hair, it isnt any more damaging than getting a perm, or getting your hair bleached.

It's a bit pricey, but if done right, you just have to go every 6 months. You're hair stays silky, shiny and smooth ALL of the time! You take showers and can let your hair air dry without having to do anything to it and it will be completely straight and smooth.

For me, it costs around $250 every 6 months but I think it's well worth it. If your hair is really important to you, you'll spend it. And plus it will save your hair from being damaged by over blow-drying and straightening, and your hair will not suffer from heavy product use and buildup.

How can i straightenmy curly hair?

Thanks to the invention of the straightening iron, the days of rolling curly hair onto frozen orange juice containers or laying your head on the ironing board while you try to iron out your curls are long gone. With a few products designed for straightening curly hair and a couple of special tools those curly locks will soon be sleek and smooth.

Things You'll Need

Shampoo

Conditioner

Straightening creme

Large roll brush

Hair dryer

Concentrator attachment for hair dryer

Clips

Straightening iron

Shine gloss

Towel

Comb

Step OneWash and condition hair as directed in the manufacturer's instructions for your shampoo and conditioner.

Step TwoSqueeze excess water out of your hair using a towel and comb through hair.

Step ThreeApply a generous amount of straightening creme for curly hair to damp hair. Work into hair until evenly distributed.

Step FourDivide hair into three sections: top of head, middle layer and underneath portion of hair. Clip the top two sections together.

Step FiveStart drying hair with the roll brush and hair dryer with concentrator attachment in place. Begin with bottom section, working in two to three inch wide pieces from one side of the head to the other.

Step SixSeparate completely dry hair into sections again as instructed in step 4.

Step SevenWork from the bottom section up, using the straightening iron to straighten each layer of hair. Grab one inch sections of hair and slowly press with the straightening iron from the root to the tip.

Step EightFinish ironing each section and then squeeze a dime size amount of shine gloss product into your palm and rub hands together. Smooth hands over hair to work the product through your straightened curly hair.

Step NineContinue styling as desired.

Tips %26amp; Warnings

To make the straightening process easier, wash and dry your hair the night before. The oils that accumulate in your hair overnight will make your curly hair more manageable the next morning.

Be careful not to move too slowly when ironing hair, as this could scorch and damage your hair.

How can i straightenmy curly hair?

My sis has super curly hair and to straighten it she uses avada hair products and a ceramic "wet-to-dry" straightener.

But why would you want to straighten it? Go for the fun crazy, out of control, controlled curls!

How can i straightenmy curly hair?

try using john freida's straightening shampoo and conditioner

How can i straightenmy curly hair?

You can try different things. Consult with a stylist. You also can blow it out but need the right attachment to the hair dryer (yes that is what that is for) and the right brush 4" flat, not round. Finish off with a flat iron. Use smoothing shampoo and conditioner. Grab a girlfriend and do dpa night - let her do your hair!

How can i straightenmy curly hair?

well first when your hair is towel dry, u put straightener in it(s factor works really well) then blow dry completely with round brush so that its smoother. take hot flat iron in relatively Small pieces follow the flat iron over the hair as u comb it.

How can i straightenmy curly hair?

I have extremely curly hair and I can give you a rundown of how I straighten mine:

- I own a blow dryer with a brush attached to it because it's easier that way. Put some Frizz-Ease hair serum and Frizz Ease creme in your hair (distribute it evenly). Then take small sections and run the blow dryer through it until it is completely dry.

- It is very important that you buy a flat iron that is GOLD plated because these get the hottest, therefore you have the best results with them. If you are just buying a Conair one it won't work as well to straighten it. Try the one I own: the brand name is Curlmaster and I got it from Sally Beauty Supply.

- After you finish blow drying your hair spray some sheen spray in your hair (it's unbelievable how shiny this makes your hair and it takes away any frizz left over from blow drying). You can try Olive Oil sheen spray which comes in a can and you can get it at Walgreens or pretty much any store that sells hair products.

- After the sheen is in your hair flat iron it in small sections and your done.

This is the way I do my hair and it comes out perfectly everytime. Hope this helps and good luck! And I left you links to some of the products I was talking about:

Can hair be textured without using a razor?

I have wavy kind of puffy hair but I straighten it . . . and I am getting a haircut and I want it very layered with texture but I am afraid if they use a razor it will causes damage and frizz to my naturally wavy hair, even though I use a hair straightener on it all the time. Is there any way I can get it layered with the razor used sparingly and still have it look very twextured?

also I want to get side bangs, are the side swept bangs made by a razor or scissors?

Can hair be textured without using a razor?

Yeah, I have side bangs and i just cut them at an angle all of the time with scissors. And if your stylist is good, they should be able to easily texture your hair without the use of a razor. just with scissors.

Can hair be textured without using a razor?

you tell your stylist if he doesn't know anything bout wavy hair and the frizz it will have when you use a razor, it will frizz...the stylist has to cut wavy hair with a hair scissors in a 45 degree angle. Just remind your stylist deary...

How can I strighten my hair?

how can i strighten my hair, i got a lot of hair and its not that long. its a mess, i hate it, i can't grow it long because then it will become a huge mess. anyone know how can i lose some hair and strighten my hair without a hair straightener?

How can I strighten my hair?

when you get your hair cut, ask to get it "thinned", this is where they take a sort of seratted razor thing, and they get rid o hair to thin your hair. you can get your hair chemical treated for getting it straight. but what i have heard from (from my questions lol) CHI flatting irons are the best. get a style memory product that will protect your hair from the heat and make it silky and soft after your done styling your hair. hope this helped!

How can I strighten my hair?

you could get a straight perm, which lasts for seven months... or you could use a blow dryer, but that takes longer.lolz

How can I strighten my hair?

A hair staightener is only temporary. I have the same problem myself. The barber said pretty much that your just born with the trait and there is nothing you can really do about waivy hair. I would just get the hair trimed in some areas to get rid of the thickness. I'd go ask a barber on what the best option is. They went to beauty school.

How can I strighten my hair?

Try straightening it w/ a curling iron, I do that when I am in a rush %26amp; don't have time for the flat iron. If you are African American wrap your hair everynight!! Use a silk or satin scarf.

P.s. The only reason I ask if your African American is because it doesn't work on any other type of hair.

My hair has been extra dry and frizzy lately anything i can get to help?

my hairs kind of curly and i use alot of aussie sprunch spray in it, when i dont use hairspray i straighten it with a hair straightener so i real need something good to make my hair not so dry and frizzy

My hair has been extra dry and frizzy lately anything i can get to help?

try a hot oil treatment. it will condition places that need conditioning and wont over-condition places that dont need it. you can pick it up at any drugstore or walmart, follow the directions, and then style as normal.

i do the exact same thing with my hair (used the aussie sprunch spray to make it curly or straighten it) and hot oil treatments really work for me and my frizzies.

hope this helps! good luck!

My hair has been extra dry and frizzy lately anything i can get to help?

Have you tried frizz controling sprays like frizz-ease? Oh and make sure that when you use the straitening your hair you're using heat protection spray!

My hair has been extra dry and frizzy lately anything i can get to help?

Use Dove repair. It works well and helps damaged hair get better. Also when using a heating product be sure to use a heat protecting serum.

My hair has been extra dry and frizzy lately anything i can get to help?

There's a plethora of products (shampoos and conditioners and pomades to calm frizzies.)

First and foremost, stay away from products which contain alcohol. That is going to be your biggest enemy when it comes to frizzy hair.

I like the Suave Professionals sleek and smooth shampoo and conditioner. Bumble and Bumble also makes a curl conscious styler that doesn't contain alcohol and calms frizzies.

Also, try to give your hair a rest a couple days a week from heat styling. If you can, wash and straighten your hair every other day. There are also many "dry shampoo" products out there, which are like powder, that you put on your hair which will help out in between washings.

My hair has been extra dry and frizzy lately anything i can get to help?

you need to get a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. ur hair is really dry, thats why its frizzy. if u can on the weekends diont style ur hair, let it be. but get a deep conditioner so ur hair like ur skin can have a drink. u could also try mayo or egg yolks b.c they have oil (ive never tryed it, but my friend has) i would stick with the conditioners though :)

My hair has been extra dry and frizzy lately anything i can get to help?

omg..i know how you feel!

my hair does that a lot!!!!!!

but..i dont like straightning it,or putting some sort of spray in it too...it makes it worse.

Do what i do..take a shower and when you have the conditioner on,brush your hair.Make sure its smooth before you get out of the shower.Dont wet it,it makes it worse and it will stink.

Reply back if this works ok?

maybe its only works for me..hopefully it will work for you.

My hair has been extra dry and frizzy lately anything i can get to help?

dont use heating products.use dove or head and shoulder.dont make your hair straight .

My hair has been extra dry and frizzy lately anything i can get to help?

well when my hair gets frizzy i will do this, when i get out of the shower i will wrap my hair in a towel for about 2 minutes, then i will comb through it and then i will add some body lotion to, but if you put too, much lotion it will get oily and then you put baby powder in your hair hope this helps!!

My hair has been extra dry and frizzy lately anything i can get to help?

Sunsilk has a frizz control product. My best friend uses it and it does great for her. Try it. Garnier Fruticus has a frizz product to that you might want to try.

I have a question about hair straightening...?

i have a flat iron hair straightener, and it straightens my hair great. but my hair always gets a little curly again after about a half an hour. does this happen to anyone? and does anybody know if there is any hair product that is used to keep your hair straightened, after it has been flat ironed? please? and thanx

I have a question about hair straightening...?

I have the same problem. I am a big fan of the Matrix Sleek line. I use the shampoo, conditioner, iron spray and sealer. These products are made to not only calm the hair but to protect it and help fight the effects of humidity. They are also great if you want to wear your hair wavy or even curly because they also fight the frizz.

I have a question about hair straightening...?

my hair does the same thing like in a hour or 2 after i straighten

I have a question about hair straightening...?

use John Frieda Frizz-Ease Original Formula Hair Serum right after the shower...thank my wife

I have a question about hair straightening...?

i have the same problem except that mine doesn't start to curl until the next day. for one, i think its because of hairspray. after i get done, i put hairspray on it, and depending on the weather, is how long my hair will stay straight.

hope that helps.

I have a question about hair straightening...?

that happens to me all the time

I have a question about hair straightening...?

I have a question about hair straightening...?

For shampoo %26amp; conditioner, Matrix Sleek line is my absoulte favorite... I also use Biosilk while hair is still wet, dry hair, then flat iron using "Aquage Beyond Shine" It's a aerosal spray. You spray your hair, by "each" piece you flat iron... Works GREAT!!

I have a question about hair straightening...?

What is a good brand of hair straighteners that arent too expensive?

I need a good one that will last longer than a year because the ones i have always break and never are hot enough to make my hair really flat.

What is a good brand of hair straighteners that arent too expensive?

The CHI it is expensive, but it is worth it!!! Believe me it can work MIRACLES!!!!

What is a good brand of hair straighteners that arent too expensive?

CHI pricey, but worth it

What is a good brand of hair straighteners that arent too expensive?

Hot Tools. Try to get a ceramic one.. they are a lot less damaging to your hair. Other brands are very good but pricey. When Hot Tools straighteners are on sale they are a very good deal.

What is a good brand of hair straighteners that arent too expensive?

The "CHI" is perfect! It is a little bit expensive ( $120 ) but think about it. With all the money added up from you buying all of those little, cheap straighteners you could have already gotten a CHI. I have really thik hair and it makes my hair the thinest I have ever had it. I love it.

What is a good brand of hair straighteners that arent too expensive?

I have a Conair model CS25 , with ceramic plates, and it works GREAT!!! I've only had it for a couple months, but it works great seriously. i have very curly hair and it gets my hair super straight. When I bouth it it cost about 21 bucks at target. You should get it

What is a good brand of hair straighteners that arent too expensive?

conairre is a good brand it is $35

What is a good brand of hair straighteners that arent too expensive?

I have a hot tools straightener- DON'T BUY IT. it really dried up and ruined my hair. I suggest a solia or chi straight iron. go to folica. com, everything is a little cheaper there

What is a good brand of hair straighteners that arent too expensive?

Babybliss is a great straightner, I use it and it works great. it costs about 80 ca.

Straightening hair question??

how to straighten hair without using irons, hair straightener, creams, shampoos and other products that damage hair?? is there anything from the house that can be used to straighten it??

Straightening hair question??

no, not that ive heard of.. straightening gel is the thing that comes to mind that damages hair the least

Straightening hair question??

afraid not!!!!!!!! it is a chemical process and can be done by a professional with lots of conditioners, etc. afterwards...NOTHING but chemicals can straighten hair....trust me, I tried everything...if you have it done, you are aware that it has to be kept up?? after about 4-6 weeks, you will see a wave pattern growing back in, then it's time to do it all over again...after a while, I got tired of it, so just let my coarse hair grow back in and I keep it in good condition...SunSilk and Vive shampoos have formulations for hair like ours...it does not straighten, but it helps to 'relax' it a little so it looks a lot better!!!!!!!! give it a try..........

Straightening hair question??

no way

Straightening hair question??

well tehre isnt really...all you can do is wash your hair with NORMAL...shampoo and conditionar.......then brush it sraight after........

Straightening hair question??

FIrst off, You need to use heat protectant on your hair before using a flat iron. That will protect your hair from damage. After you put your heat protectant use a good anti frizz serum such as Garnier Fructus

Straightening hair question??

I straighten my hair with a ceramic iron and my hair is healthy. I deep condition it every week at home and if you buy a good brand name gel or spray to put on your hair before straightening it will protect it from the heat. you can also buy straightening gel that you put on before you blow dry that sort of works. Not as good but better than nothing. but sorry I don't think there is anything out there you can use from the house.

Straightening hair...?

I use a hair straightener because I have very wavy hair. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to last long. Can anybody recommend some inexpensive products that straighten one's hair and/or some other tips? Thanks!

Straightening hair...?

for really wavy hair, i would recommend a straightening cream or gel to be used along with the straightening iron. l'oreal "studio line" hair care and alberto V05 both have reasonably priced versions of these products. ceramic straightening irons also work best, i don't know what kind of straightening iron you've been using.

Straightening hair...?

search in the supermarket or chemist. John freda is pretty good

Straightening hair...?

Crystali - hair "defrizzer"

Straightening hair...?

johnfreida serum/ straightening gel , CharlesWorthington straightening balm

Straightening hair...?

go to a shop or a hair specialist. I lost a whole glob of hair straightening at home... and it was horrible. Seek the professional unless you want bald spots!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Straightening hair...?

i have the same problem, and i think that the thing that works best is hair spray.

Straightening hair...?

well the answer to your question is your not using the right kind of straightener you should be using a ceramic heating plate. You can perches one at you beauty supply or hair salon and the best products to use on your hair are going to be pricey, but you want that for you hair so that you don't damage it with the heat of the iron,I no this because i am a color specialist at a beauty salon

Straightening hair...?

go to walgreens buy a hair straight iron

Straightening hair...?

Try permenant straightened

How do you get super straight silky hair?

I have a normal hair straightener and I love it. But I don't always get it to be "straight" for even a whole day, not even 2 days!

ALSO do you have any products?

How do you get super straight silky hair?

thank youu

How do you get super straight silky hair?

If you want silky hair just use a deep conditioning treatment in your hair it makes it soft as heck lol.

The only way to get your hair straight is to straighten it. My guess is that you have wavy hair and if that's the case you have to be really patient with it and take lots of time straightening each strand. Just don't hold your straightener on your hair for more than 10 seconds it will damage your hair.

How do you get super straight silky hair?

Try GHD or CHI flat iron. Invest in a good conditioner, try Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor for damaged hair.

How do you get super straight silky hair?

im a stylist in a salon

and proffesional hair products make a huge difference. try some bed head products or paul mitchell it will work

get some straightening gels or mousse

it will help and its worth the price

Fuzzy hair?

when ever I wash my hair and allow it to air dry it is always frizzy will using a hair drier or a hair straightener give a better look

Fuzzy hair?

yes using a hair dyer and hair staightners will give you a more polished look as the heat allows the proteins in your hair to straighten and theirfor causing less frizz. i's also recommend using a staightening spray or cream to protect your hair from the heat of the hairdryer oand straightners.

Fuzzy hair?

Use a de-frizzing cream.

I know treseme and redken has some good stuff out there.

Fuzzy hair?

With hair dryer or straightener the hair will be pulled and hence look in place.

Fuzzy hair?

Ya it will,,,buh that luk won't last long,,,,,coz using them removes natural oils n thus eventually makes it rough n dry n brittle.

Instead try a gud branded gel or even creame,,,,even a nice n effective conditioner might help up to some extent.

Do chemicals do any damage to your hair?

if yes or no then which is better to use with less chemicals in it?

hair salon or hair straightener?

specific answers plzzzz.

Do chemicals do any damage to your hair?

Depending on what chemicals you want to use on your hair. If you are chemically going to straighten your hair you may want to ask them to moisturize your hair too. That way there isn't that much damage. If you use a hair straightner you may want to use a fortified conditioner or deep conditioning at home.

Do chemicals do any damage to your hair?

They could.

Do chemicals do any damage to your hair?

yup

Do chemicals do any damage to your hair?

It depends some chemicals are good for your hair others make you lose hair

Do chemicals do any damage to your hair?

they say it does but I use Garnier anyway cuz I love it

Do chemicals do any damage to your hair?

Yes!Hair salonis better...a straightner practically fries your hair...which cause frizziness....and split ends...and lots of other problems.

Do chemicals do any damage to your hair?

yes they do , lowlights replinish hair while highlights make it dry and brittle and if ur goin to use a striaghtner use a ceramic one they tend to do less damage and use a hot spray or gel to protect your hair!! sure helped this helped

Do chemicals do any damage to your hair?

straigtherner

Do chemicals do any damage to your hair?

yes, chemicals damage your hair. Blonde, and bleaching, is worse than putting dark color in your hair. And my hair was FRIED when I got a perm a l-o-o-o-ng time ago. I had a scalp burn, and stubble ! Never again ! Also, I had a relative whose hair just started melting because she bleached it too much ! Go to a professional.

Do chemicals do any damage to your hair?

I don't think so. I apply chemicals to my hair every 4-6 weeks. I think it is the quality of care you provide your hair in between. All great hair needs proper maintenance, no matter if you use chemicals or not. I've used Pantene for years, not solely but in addition to regular hair care.

Do chemicals do any damage to your hair?

Chemicals damage hair, so does heat I would try to limit both. But the salon seems to last longer which in turn means you go less.

Do chemicals do any damage to your hair?

of course its chemicals but some products do have chemicals but they are very lightly damage your hair real the back of the product and find out or ask some one at the store to help you and they will glad to help because thats their job good luck

Do chemicals do any damage to your hair?

yes chemicals damage your hair badly.

you can use hair strigtner then maintain the hair.

Okay, I need some help about my hair...?

My hair is naturally wavy/curly. I look way better with it straightened. However, whenever I use my Wet to Dry hair straightener, it usually curls back up in the back, and becomes all frizzy in that one spot, and all kinky everywhere else in the back. But in the front it's all straight. Help?

Okay, I need some help about my hair...?

I so know what you mean!! I myself have the same problem, I used to iron my hair with a clothes iron untill I discovered a friends professional ceramic flat iron. I was absolutely AMAZED! at how well it worked ........Isinis Ceramix is the one i'm using ( I'll try to find the link online ). It comes with a comb attached to one side, which i removed ( it's an option ). The only reason why i did this is because when i tried it out, there was no comb, my friend said that she felt that it tangled her hair and that she had gotten hers from her aunt - whom works in a salon and that they don't use thiers either - I never even tried it - removed it right away. Ok - back to the wonders of your new friend - cuz trust me!! you'll think of it as a part of you!!....lol I do! : )

It reallt does work GREAT!! It last forever! and i really do mean that. So untill you shampoo your doo or get caught in the rain

( *wink ) It will stay straight! all over not just the top layor. I hope this answer helps you - you definitly wont ever regret the purchase! I found mine on special for $60

Okay, I need some help about my hair...?

i have the same problem w. that kind of straightener. its wayyy better to use a regular one...i just use a revlon stylix one from walmart and it works GREAT!

Okay, I need some help about my hair...?

Go with the natural curl!

Okay, I need some help about my hair...?

if your hair is just down right curly (i mean knotted frizzy cant stand it curly) then use some moose or gel from Pantene, make sure it says something about straitening out hair. Also switch your shampoo to something that will help tame curly hair, %26amp; deep condition it.

Anyways when your hair is still very damn (not sopping wet) apply the gels %26amp; moose閳ユ獨.

Help you hair out by blow drying it in the back (brush it while your drying so it will dry straight.) then I guess whenever your hair is dry enough (%26amp; I guess wet enough) to straighten do so, your hair should be much more controlled %26amp; relaxed.

Hair wax might help but too much can make your hair greasy. I would switch over to a normal straightener.

Hope that helps!

Please help - I'm suffering from Frizzy Hair!?

I have an extremely thick growth of frizzy hair and am trying to purchase a ceremic Hair Straightener. Are there any brands which I should look out for?

Please help - I'm suffering from Frizzy Hair!?

You can use Chi, Sedu, and a Bionic Ionic are good quality ceramic straightners. They cost more than $100 you can look at their reviews or buy it at www.folica.com or at salons. Since you have frizzy hair you should straighten your hair in small sections and use frizz-ease products.

Please help - I'm suffering from Frizzy Hair!?

My sister says chi is the best brand.

Please help - I'm suffering from Frizzy Hair!?

First of all, I have thick, frizzy, hair with tight curls, so I feel your pain.

You might not want to invest in a straightener though, heat styling fries your hair even further.

The key to helping frizzy hair is moisture; quench your hair's thirst. Incorporate a weekly deep conditioner or moisturzing hair mask. You could also try 100% Virgin Coconut Oil, which you can purchase at Indian grocery stores, Parachute is a good brand.

Try to keep heat styling to a minimal, and diffusers work better for frizzy thick hair than blowdryers. Hold the diffuser about 6" from hair and put it on a lower heat setting.

Never heat style hair with a thick silicone product like Frizz Ease, save that for after.

Please help - I'm suffering from Frizzy Hair!?

You should get a CHI, its a little pricier, but its worth it. It will get rid of that frizz and wont kill your hair. Plus you can curl with it too. Its bomb

Please help - I'm suffering from Frizzy Hair!?

I bought mine from Sally's Beauty Supply. The brand was Gold 'n Hot. Look here http://www.sallybeauty.com/shop/1650/255...

Works very very well because it heats up very hot. It's not great for your hair, but with the way it makes your hair look, no one will ever notice that it dries your hair out. Also you should put a serum on your hair when its when. I always liked the Zero Frizz brand. You only need a teeny bit and after you hve blowdried and straightened your hair it looks great. Good luck, hope this helps!

Please help - I'm suffering from Frizzy Hair!?

I feel your pain. I had a hot tools one for a while and it worked fine, but then I got a CHI...changed my life forever! Seriously, ceramic plates are the key and since it's only an inch wide, I never burn my neck. They are more expensive (mine was $100) BUT they have a lifetime warranty. They're only available at beauty supply stores (not department stores like target or walmart). I recommend it 100%

Please help - I'm suffering from Frizzy Hair!?

no i think you should go to a salon because i have friends that got their frizzy hair problems solved there. and after u get a treatment there and ask for their advice, then u can buy their recommended products to keep it smooth

Please help - I'm suffering from Frizzy Hair!?

Seriously (and my stylist confirmed), they are all the same unless you're going to drop $300 on a professional one. Use it at the hottest setting - it won't damage your hair. I got a $25 one from Target (Vidal Sassoon maybe?) and it's great. I won't feel bad when it burns out, or when the plates get unsmooth and I need to replace it.

I do recommend getting one that's between 1 and 2 inches wide - wider ones are much harder to use on yourself.

By hair is puffy and wavy and dont try to give me a pep talk cuz i am so sick of it. what should i d

I tried combing it for hours and used a hair straightener and it still doesnt work!!! Is there a product that works under $8.00?

My hair looks like a witches hair its so horrible!!!

Sorry if that was mean(;

By hair is puffy and wavy and dont try to give me a pep talk cuz i am so sick of it. what should i do?

Go to the dollar store. I'm serious. Look for a bottle with leave in conditioner. The liquid kind. Then buy a spray bottle. The kind of spritzer that cleaning chemicals come in. Put the leave in conditioner in it. After taking a shower spray this all over your hair, I'd say like 5-7 spritzes for shoulder length hair so it gets all over. Brush out the knots and leave it. The worst thing you can do is brush it when it's dry. Then pull it up in a bun or ponytail. If your hair is too short for a ponytail this may be part of your problem. If your hair is wavy an short, it's going to puff out more. The longer it is, the more it will be weighed down and less puffy. Also, layering tends to help. Ask a hairstylist to help you.

Good luck!

By hair is puffy and wavy and dont try to give me a pep talk cuz i am so sick of it. what should i do?

use frizz ease, use a straightener, extra conditioner

By hair is puffy and wavy and dont try to give me a pep talk cuz i am so sick of it. what should i do?

use any shampoo AND conditioner that is specially designed for think/frizzy hair. I use Sunsilk Anti-Poof (its in a blue bottle) and really works well for my thick hair. I've also found that if you can take a shower early enough that you can just let your hair air-dry that its wayyyy less frizzy than when I do blow-dry it. I have also tried many many straighteners but none ever seemed to work!!! until I got a Chi hair straightener, it's amazing!!!! it can make any think or curly hair go straight in minutes! now Chi is a more expensive brand but it is well worth it!

What is better the Chi or the Chloche hair straighteners?

I have the remmington wet to dry straightener but I think it's time for an upgrade they both seem like good straightener's but I'm sure one is better then the other. I'm not worried about the cost.

What is the Best Hair:...?

This just my personal opinion...

I love all Redkin products! You can only but them at a salon, but they have saved my damaged hair! I also like Pantene. When I can't afford Redkin, I go for the Pantene. As far as straighteners go, a Chi is top of the line. You can prchase one online at www.folica.com for about $90.00. Personally, I think that almost all hair straighteners, as long as they are ceramic, are created equal. You can get them from any beauty supply store for as cheap as $20.00.

You can also purchase a Chi professional ceramic curling iron from folica. Any ceramic one will do. Metal will damage your hair too badly.

Good Luck!

Pin straight hair??

Hey,

I was just wondering.. do you think that there is ANY way that my hair will EVER be pin- straight??

this is how my hair is- well its pretty thick and super curly on the bottom and then i have a ton of fly away on the top of my head..

i own a sedu hair straightener.. do you think there is ANY way i can get PIN straight hair??

Pin straight hair??

I did the Japanese Hair Straightening and it is the best. My hair is pin straight and not poofy anymore. After I wash it and comb it, it stays straight. If I sleep with it wet or if I don't comb it right after washing, I might get some waves that I can get rid of with an iron. I use the CHI Ceramic Flat Iron. Thats the only iron that works for me to get it pin straight.

Pin straight hair??

after straightening spray it with hairspray/straightening hold spray.

but rly ur hair sounds gorgeous...no need to straighten :-)

Pin straight hair??

magic straight!!

its amazing

i got it, and my hair is super poofy times 100. after i got it , its pin straight

it lasts for like 6 months - 9 months

Pin straight hair??

No. The only way to get that is to straighten and spray it. Sorry. I want that too.

Pin straight hair??

My hair is very similar and this is how I get my hair SUPER straight (I own a Chi straightener)

I use Nexxus Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

I spray it first with Bedhead "Headrush" to protect and add shine to my straightened hair - split your hair into sections (spray each section) and straighten every section probably 3 times. When you're done add Biosilk to your hair - which prevents it from getting frizzy and also takes away the poof that can sometimes happen after you straighten it.

Another thing is next time you're getting your haircut, ask them to use thinning scissors - this takes A LOT of bulk out of your hair - especially the ends, to make your hair lay better, and be straighter.

PLEASE don't chemically straighten it, because it is really great to have the option to wear your hair curly or straight - and chemicals really mess up the health of your hair.

Pin straight hair??

Well, there's no way to make it completely flawless for long periods of time, but for me, I use a Remington Wet-2-Straight hair straightener, on level 30 heat, and when i'm done with it I use Suave level 10 stay spray and comb it through. It works pretty well for me, but the ends of my hair do become wavy again after about 9 hours? But yeah, I definitely suggest you get a Remington hair straightener and some Suave level 10 ^.^

It works wonders =]

Pin straight hair??

just straighten your hair everyday

and use hairspray

Hair straightening question?

my mom was about to get me a hair straightener next week and i need to know a couple of things please. how often should i straighten my hair in order to prevent it from being damaged? 2) just in case my hair got damaged from straightening what should i do ?

Hair straightening question?

1) try not to straighten your hair everyday. especially if your hair is thin. for me i have thick hair, so i can straighten is daily without it getting too damaged. also conditioning your hair helps keep it healthy.

2) if you hair gets damaged, you can always get it cut. or at least trimmed just to get ride of dead ends.

Hair straightening question?

you can use hairsprays or mousse that protects your hair from heat styling.

Hair straightening question?

well i use mine pretty much everyday and i dont think my hair is that damaged, you should use product though before you straighten in!

Hair straightening question?

i use to use mine everyday and my hair is still awsome. i use colesteral treatments after washing my hair tho..

Hair straightening question?

hair straightening is bad for your hair period!! dont do it everyday..and if theres a day where your just sitting at home..let it air dry..it will keep all of the natural vitamins in it..even though straightening your hair is bad for you...you can purchase a serum which is like a clear type of oil/gel..put that in your hair (a dime sized amount) and rub it throughout your hair after you get out of the shower..then blowdry your hair and proceed to straighten it..dont straighten your hair wet

Hair straightening question?

There are many products that you can use which protect your hair from heat....

I used to straighten my hair everyday and my hair dressers would tell me how healthy and nice my hair is.... (i never colour it... ever)

You can tell when your hair is starting to feel it. it gets dry and brittle

Hair straightening question?

1. It's still going to be slightly damaged but once a week (or month) is good. Also, you should ALWAYS use heat protecting spray.

2. Stop using them(optional). Use shampoo and conditioner that fix your hair from damages. Go to a hair salon and get a trim to get rid of your split ends.

Hair straightening question?

I straighten my hair twice a week and to help prevent damage i use a spray that has a thermal shield. You can also use a product that helps prevent split ends.

Hair straightening question?

Always straighten dry, never wet hair.

And be sure to apply a thermal flat iron spray, or any other product that encourages hair protection during heat styling.

Never hold the straightener over one area of hair for too long.

Straighten your hair as often as you feel necessary for your style, but if you begin to notice damage, you might consider cutting back and investing in a good, heavy conditioner.

Hope this helps!

Hair straightening question?

I actually just did mine i do mine everyday and mine is healthy no damage ive been doing mine for 2 years now i wouldnt worry

Hair straightening question?

use gloves when applying... do not shower after two days. let it stay for awhile... do not use plastic combs that can cause static. to avoid damage, use conditioner for your hair. you may straighten it every 5 to 6 months perhaps..

Hair straightening question?

I straighten my hair about twice a week and have never noticed any damage. If you are planning on doing it a lot, I would buy a shampoo and conditioner that are designed for people who use heat products a lot. The only one I can think of right now is Thermasilk, but I'm sure there are tons. They are designed specifically to hold all of the moisture, vitamins, etc. that your hair lose when you blow dry/straighten a lot.

Hair straightening question?

you can straighten your hair everyday as long as you do not color or perm your hair, but always use professional products..use a leave- in hair re-constructer as your conditioner and do not use high heat on your iron. The straightening irons that are the best have ceramic plates and those are not as harmful as the cheaper models. Getting your hair trimmed ever 6-8 weeks will keep your hair in nice condition.

Hair straightening question?

use a hair serum very important!! make sure u buy one that is specially for protecting straightened hair. then lightly put it in yer hair or just follow the directions, it wont get damaged with this, but u mite get split ends. or if u hav a bad straightener it will b damaged, also u mite not want to straiten it EVERYdAY but u kno just keep it in moderation

Hair straightening question?

as long as you used a hydrating conditioner its not a problem (so your hair doesn't dry out making it more prone to breakage)

unless your hair is thin, weak, breaks easily

best hair straightner is a CHI
