What does the package insert say? Is there a customer service hotline number you can call?

I know hair dye is fine, but not sure about straightening products. Is it just a simple conditioner that claims to help straighten temporarily, or is it actually a permanent straightener?

I wouldn't - why risk it?

Check with your doctor before you use it.

Something that has the power to straighten hair sounds pretty scary to me.

I have never used it either, but any risk to the baby is not worth it. Also your homones are screwy right now and that affects everything! I became allergic to synthetic fabrics while I was pregnant, (try finding all cotton suits in petite maternity). I have heard of some people having adverse reactions to hair products when they were pregnant and instead of getting nice shiny hair, they got mangled mess! Just a word of caution all around!

you're like 5 weeks away from giving birth...why risk it when you can just do it afterwards.

try and actually research the product, or the makers of the product, everything is on the internet anyways, it may tell you if it's safe or not.

I would wait %26amp; use a flat iron for the next month. Im a hair stylist and mom 2 %26amp; PG with 3. I wouldnt do it. I also wouldn't perm my hair. I have used color on my hair, just not harsh bleaches or products that have to stay on your scalp to long. I'm sure theres women out there that have. I just know what kind of chemicals are in some of those things. hope this helps

It probably won't hurt your baby because very little of the solution will be absorbed into your body, but it may not work on your hair either. Most hair products such as perms, straighteners, color and such, won't take due to the hormonal changes in your body during pregnancy. Even after you have your baby, you probably want to wait about a month so your hormones can get back to their pre-pregnancy state
