What products can i use to keep my hair straight?

I use a hair straightener but it doesnt last long.

What products can i use after straightening, before straightening or during showering, that can keep it

straight for a long period of time.

Also my hair gets all static-full sometimes,so whats going on,

and what can i do to get rid of it?

SunSilk straight shampoo, conditioner, and hair balm or

(all SunSilk Products) or straighter of course :]

Get some shine products, that will help the static. It is probably getting static-y because of the cold weather, and the straightner drys it out which causes static. Invest some extra money on hair products, usually the more expensive the better. But not always, be sure to read the label.

static happens when your hair is lacking moisture- something that happens more often during the winter because of the dry air. i would reccomend a REALLY good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner- i like Eufora Moisture Solution shampoo and Intense Hydrating conditioner. Brocato also makes a good hydration system (the saturate line, which also has a good leave in conditioner that would help), and if your hair is colored you might want to invest in the more expensive Pureology Hydrate line, which isn't cheap but works amazingly good, plus it will make your color last longer, which means fewer damaging coloring sessions which will cause these sorts of problems.

but above all, definitely start using a moisturizing leave in conditioner and thermal protection spray before you flat-iron. these will both protect from the heat of the straightener, which dries out your hair even more.

also, when you shower, wash your hair with lukewarm to cool water- hot water is drying. also, try not to wash your hair every day if you can- the natural oils that your hair makes are the best moisturizers of all- which is another reason to use cool water- your hair will still look clean, but it won't strip out all those oils.

once you've straightened, try using a holding paste, like garnier fructis surf hair. it really helps hold the frizzies down, and also separates hair a bit, so the straightening job looks more natural, and shows off layers more (if you have them).

good luck!!!!
