HAIR PROBLEMS ! Help!?

I have a few of questions:

1. I need a GOOD hair straightener. What do you all recommend that is under $100, and where can I find it?

2. My hair is naturally wavy and frizzes, so I'm forced to straighten it. I've tried to scrunch it and use moose and gels to keep the curl, but it dries nappy and still frizzes. What can I do to make it look good curly/wavy?

3. What's the best way to make hair grow? What foods and vitamins will boost the growth?

Thanks!

HAIR PROBLEMS ! Help!?

a good straightner you can get at like target called "Conair Ceramic Technology" and it lasts FOREVER. You can get it at like walmart or kmart or target or something like that- maybe CVS even.

my hair is naturaly wavy too and wont scrunch. what i do is i wet it, dry it a teeny bit, put mousse (handful) flip your head over and scrunch from the bottom. scrunch. then, take a scrunch gel and do the same thing. then do it with hairspray. after, you have to spray with hairspray. voila!

mostly nothing wil make it grow faster.

When was the hair iron invented?

Don't ask why. It was just the subject of a stupid random conversation born of meandering thoughts and ADD. I want to know when the hair straightener, as known today, was invented. Also, when did girls use a clothes iron to do the same thing.

When was the hair iron invented?

1845

When was the hair iron invented?

i think in the 1800's....

When was the hair iron invented?

Girls used clothes irons in the 60's.

don't know for sure, but i would guess a flat iron came sometime after the hair crimper, probably in the 80's.

people used to use the crimper to flatten hair

When was the hair iron invented?

1882

When was the hair iron invented?

in the early 1800's i guess they usually use forks.

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

i straighten it every morning.

i still have these pesky curls around my face.

they wont go away

no, i dont want to work with them

i have a top of the line hair straightener and i blow out my hair with a round brush.

i use straightnening shampoo, conditioner, and hairspray

i am a perfectionist, i'm sorry. but please HELP!

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

you dont

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

get it chemically straightened,

use hair serum, gel or spray

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

If you have curly hair, i suggest that you invest in a straightener because they are handy, easy to use, and they WORK! :]

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

first of all, straightening it every morning is really bad for your hair, its like burning it, especially if you dont have an iron guard.

if you really want it to straighten, give it a really good washing and get it chemically straightened

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

well u can get a flat iron and the steam kink where your hair can be dripping wet and it will look like paper ( if u like that) but it cost $200.00

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM ALL I CAN SAY IS GET A CERAMIC FLAT IRON AND USE SOME VITAMIN C BEFORE YOU STRAIT IRON, ALSO WHEN YOU BLOW DRY DONT BLOW DRY THE HAIR UNDERNEATH, BLOW DRY THE TOP NEVER PUT THE COMB UNDER NEATH AS THAT ADDS LOTS OF BODY, AND US WITH THE BABY HAIR CURLS DONT NEAT THE EXTRA BODY.

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

Use a flat iron.

Do it AS you blow dry your hair, so that it doesn't dry curly first or anything.

It pretty much works all the time, as long as you don't get it wet... :]

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

had the same problem it just means u need to train ur hair by taking time evry day and go slo my aunt told me that one u just gotta train it and i think ur trying to hard

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

Ask about chemical straightening from your hair stylist, that could help. It's permanent though.

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

My best tip is to go to a local drug mart or beauty / hair store, and SEARCH the isles - for anything related to straightening cream, etc.

To get curly hair there are different bottles of gels and such that you put in, so I am sure if you look around you could easily find something that will do the same for straight hair.

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

OK i have a Chi Hiar straighener. It's like the BEST i swear. It like maybe $100. It heats up in like two minutes and it gets my bed head straight in like ten.

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

Okay, I sorta have the same problem!

I recommend "Herbel Ecsences:Dangerously Straight Shampoo"

Do you have a Chi Flat Iron, that helps as well!!!

Maybe you could get a Relaxer put in your hair?

My friend did that, and it stayed straight for a good while!

Also, when you get done washing your hair, let it air dry, instead of blow drying it. Yes your hair will be very

poofy", but once you flat iron you can tell the difference!

Hope I helped!

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

get a japanese perm silly!

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

Get a CHI Ceramic Flat Iron by Farouk and CHI Iron Guard or Framesi WIO Strait Balm. These are the very best thermal protectants I have ever used. I would suggest a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner rather than the straightening one. Using the blow dryer and the flat iron on a daily basis requires that you put moisture back into your hair. Avoid the pesky curls around your face when you are blow drying your hair if you possibly can. I hope this has been of some help.

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

i think u should get 1 of those bug flat irons that should make your hair straight the things that could have made yo hair curly was water and when it could have been a rainy day and it could have made it curly

How do i obtain perfectly straight hair?

You shouldn't straighten your hair everyday, it damages your hair. Even if you use hair products to help, the high heat from the straighten will ruin your hair. It's better if you straighten your hair once every while, but if you insist on having straight hair, you should get it permanetly straighted. The price will depend on the length of your hair, the longer it is, the more expensive it will be. Anyways, they put chemicals in your hair and it will be straight for about a year or so. The process takes awhile though so if you're not patient, I wouldn't advise it.

Is scrunching your hair with mousse and gel bad for your hair?

I straighten my hair often and I am planning on giving my hair straightener and my hair a break and was wondering if I scrunched it , would the mousse and gel be bad for your hair and give you bad effects too?

Is scrunching your hair with mousse and gel bad for your hair?

Do not listen to any of those other people- I fix hair for a living.

It would be a lot better for your hair if you used mousse and scrunched it. Using that hair straigtener can break and damage your hair- so don't use it every day.

Love,

princessshanley94

*~- Follow your heart, it will lead the way-~*

Is scrunching your hair with mousse and gel bad for your hair?

nope its not, because thats why i started scrunching my hair. its so curly that it takes forever to straighten it, and its bad for my hair, so i started leaving it curly, and its healthier now.

Is scrunching your hair with mousse and gel bad for your hair?

It's ok for a time, rinse it out as soon as possible

Jazz

Is scrunching your hair with mousse and gel bad for your hair?

It will make you hair hard and easier to break and hace split ends. Just get a deep conditioner and wear a nice complimentary style.

Is scrunching your hair with mousse and gel bad for your hair?

probably not bad.

I would worry more about the health of my scalp.

Is scrunching your hair with mousse and gel bad for your hair?

it depends on your on your hair type if you have and oily scalp the alcohol in the gel or mousse will dry it out a bit but wont do real damage as if your straighten it

Is scrunching your hair with mousse and gel bad for your hair?

yup,it would be

Is scrunching your hair with mousse and gel bad for your hair?

General rule: All hair products contain chemicals, alcohol, etc. They might not show right away, but natural is always healthier. Depends on what you prefer, healthy or cute.

Is scrunching your hair with mousse and gel bad for your hair?

gel and mousse are bad for your hair because they contain alcohol and will dry out your hair. curly hair is dry to begin with. try to use a product that contains little or no alcohol. and straightening your hair should not be doing damage if it is a ceramic iron and you use product before you dry it.

Is scrunching your hair with mousse and gel bad for your hair?

nope but wetting your hair to then scrunch it is very bad fot straightened hair.

mouse and gel is also bad for your hair because they cause it to be brittle and break

so scrunching is safe but wetting it too often and using products like gel and mousse will damage your hair

Help with my hair?

i want my hair straighten and i have a hair straightener but it isn't working the way i want it to. i usually have my hair in a pony tail everyday when i go to school. see, when i take a part of my hair and put it up, it stays up. when i put down, it doesn't stay down so i have always have to use my sweater and put my hair inside my sweater.

Help with my hair?

blow dry it that shud work, but u gotta keep on blow dryin it 4 a while until it good!

good look...now i need 2 get some help on my hair ^.^

Help with my hair?

I used to have this proublem. When straightening it, when you get to the bottem, twords the roots start curving your hand under. Pull.

Help with my hair?

Use a curling iron. If you use it like a straightener it does a pretty good job. I know it sounds weird, but the curling iron clamps the hair down and pulls it straight.

I hope that helps!

Help with my hair?

use a staightening iron.

Help with my hair?

First thing you should do is take a hot shower. Keep your hair in th shower for about 10 minutes. You should use sunsilk hair products. After shampooing put in a leave in conditioner.( to make it easier go to a salon)then don't use the flat iron blow out your hair( if you do your hair will get damaged) after flat iron your hair.

Help with my hair?

i have long (to my waist) thick hair and i have concluded that when i straighten my hair when its wet and continue until it dries it works the best...and some days if i dont want to take a long time on it i use a blow drier on it and blow dry it downward to it get straight

Does straightening your hair damage it?

Also, what is the best hair straightener to buy?

Does straightening your hair damage it?

I work at a salon and hear this all the time. Whether you use a chemical straightener or an electrical straightener (flat iron), it's really damaging. But if your hair needs it, then always go to a professional for chemical treatment. As far as an electric straightener, Chi Ceramic flat irons are the best. And ALWAYS use a flat iron protecting spray. It prepares your hair for the heat and protects it from burning and becoming brittle. Kenra makes an awesome flat iron spray. Chi also makes a good one. Also, if your flat iron has a nob where you can turn down the heat, use it. You never need the heat all way up. Half-way usually does it for most people.

Does straightening your hair damage it?

no

only if you straighten it while wet.

if your hair is wet, it will damage your hair.

Does straightening your hair damage it?

Yes. One that doesn't "dry and straighten" at the same time. That kills your hair.

Does straightening your hair damage it?

it does because you are applying heat to it

Does straightening your hair damage it?

yes it does go to a pro and get it done

Does straightening your hair damage it?

Yes it does.. try the Ceramic straightener it will cost you about 150.00 but I'm sure you can try to find one that is a lil cheaper.. not by much though..

Does straightening your hair damage it?

no, it doesnt, unless you do it everyday. but you should put a little bit of biosilk oil, so it doesn't damage it when you do it everyday. If you want a really good srtaightner you should go to TARGET. i got mine there for $14 and it works really well.

Does straightening your hair damage it?

sometimes it can if you do it too much and you leave the straightener up there to long it can,the best thing to use is "frizz buster" it works really good, keeps hair silky straight

Does straightening your hair damage it?

YES!! unless you take good care of your hair straightners can do some real bad damage to your hair

Does straightening your hair damage it?

Yes if you do not balance it with good care of your hair. So make sure you do regular treatment and trim, use the right shampoo %26amp; conditioner and put products like an anti frizz or iron oil etc before blowdrying or straightening.

The best they say is GHD straightening iron.

Does straightening your hair damage it?

Yeah, but only if you use the plug in straightener! There are things that will help 'straight' your hair! It's name brand is called Bedhead, and there are alot of different purposes, so it might take you five minutes to find the right one. But there is a rage wave hari straightener. It comes with plates, and they are interchanglable. You can straighten, slight wave, and mega wave!

Does straightening your hair damage it?

Anything that alters the way your hair is damaging. So straightening, perming, coloring, highlighting, relaxing, etc. are all damaging. That being said, if you have it done correctly by a stylist that knows what he or she is doing, the damage will be kept to a minimum. So, I would go and have my hair straightened, not do it myself.

Does straightening your hair damage it?

im not sure about the straightener, but i like the professional ones.

i straighten my hair a lot more than I should, but it doen't really look like it does too much damage. but im sure its better to leave it natural

Does straightening your hair damage it?

yea its acutally bad for your hair

if u use heat protective spray it helps

i like conair

Does straightening your hair damage it?

yes if u do it all da time

Does straightening your hair damage it?

yes, if the straightener is not 100% ceramic or tourmaline plates. even the ones coated with ceramic wear out, and cause some damage. u might also want to use a heat protection spray b4 just to be safe. :)

i bought a 100% ceramic straightener from a stand in the mall called: Corrolosis or soemthing, you can buy it, and for one whole year, u can go back and they'll straighten ur hair for free!

Does straightening your hair damage it?

if u straght it in wet hair then it will or if u straight ur hair everyday.NEVER straight ur hair in hot air.it will also damage ur hair.

Chemical hair straiting methods?

i had another Q up that asked how to make ur hair strait, and some one told me about a home kit to straiting u hair called "Ogilve hair straightener" dose thoughs really damage ur hair and how bad, is it worce then coloring or bleaching?? and is there any special straiter home kits that anyone thinks is the best, and plz keep money in mind.

Chemical hair straiting methods?

it won't damage any more than colour or bleach if you follow the directions properly. a good idea is to do a deep conditioner treatment twice a week for a couple weeks before any serious chemical process. i don't have any experience with at home products though so i can't recommend a particular brand

Chemical hair straiting methods?

the Chi system is the hottest new thing out there. It's supposed to be amazing. I believe it's available at Jc Penny Salon's. You can google it and find other locations I'm sure.

Chemical hair straiting methods?

Try this product called EasyStraight. It's $29.99 I think. You can buy it at drugstores like Duane Reade, Walgreens, etc. Here's their website: www.easystraight.com

Chemical hair straiting methods?

Chi (done professionally) is the best hair straightening method and it lasts the longest But it is VERY expensive. Some people say it works best on caucasian hair.

Chemical hair straiting methods?

why do you want straight hair ?

thank you

Chemical hair straiting methods?

If you want to straighten your hair use a relaxer (not perm). I like Optimum or Olive Oil (at the most they cost $10). Part hair into four section %26amp; apply the relaxer to each section, starting with the middle (area w/ most new growth). Once all hair in covered use your fingers or the back of a comb %26amp; smooth down the hair. All this should take about 15min. Once finish rinse hair with warm water %26amp; then wash with a neurtalizing shampoo (if you buy a relaxer kit, the shampoo is included). Wash hair about 3 times until all the relaxer is out. Add a conditioner, rinse it out %26amp; then style hair as usual. You have to wait 2 weeks before you add color.

Good Luck!

Okay, I already asked about hair straighteners..now...?

Wanna know, what is the best one to buy and why? (brands and or whatever you can share with me!)and how much do they go for ,generally? All of you got me to thinking..(well, actually I was kind of curious before! LOL! But, I might like to have one..if it will help get rid of the frizzies on the lower end of my long hair!!!)

Thanks!

Okay, I already asked about hair straighteners..now...?

the con-air ceramic technology works like magic with any type of hair

Okay, I already asked about hair straighteners..now...?

well i dont know about which hair straightener is the best, but if you go too a beauty store they have silk serums you can buy....put it on your tips and it will smooth them out

Okay, I already asked about hair straighteners..now...?

I love love love my CHI. I bought it on sale for $80, but they generally go for $100 or more. Totally worth it if you have crazy curly hair like me. If you don't, you can get away with a cheaper iron.

Okay, I already asked about hair straighteners..now...?

conair ceramic

Okay, I already asked about hair straighteners..now...?

Make sure that you get a ceramic one. I haven't found a difference between the ones that cost well over a hundred dollars and the ones that are between $20 and $40, so I would spend a ton of money on one. Be sure to use a product on your hair that is specifically for straightening it before you subject your hair to the heat. Also use a serum or a wax based product to smooth the ends when you're done. One more thing, narrow straighteners are better than wide ones because you can get closer to the roots of your hair, and you can get the shorter hairs along your hair line.

Okay, I already asked about hair straighteners..now...?

Hot Tools Professional Model 1190 is what I use. A hairdresser recommended it to me because the ones you can buy at drugstores (like Conair brand) weren't working well.

If your hair is only a little frizzy or slightly wavy maybe the drugstore ones would work well for you.

I thought i spend $30-$40 but that was a few years ago... I googled it and found it for $15-20 on some websites. Amazon has it for $20. Maybe it's gone down in price because Hot Tools has come out with nicer models... I'm not sure.

Okay, I already asked about hair straighteners..now...?

If you have very fine hair, heavily dyed hair or light blonde hair, it's best to buy a straightener with tourmaline or ceramic plates. These both allow a more even distribution of heat, and tend to be a smoother surface for your hair to glide across. Steer clear of titanium because it's harsher on fine, coloured or blonde hair.

Look for one with adjustable heat settings, not just one heat setting, as the high heat may be too hot for your hair.

Just a tip - to avoid frying your hair too much, if a strand of hair needs going over twice, wait for the strand to cool completely before you re-do it with the iron.

Make sure your hair is completely dry before you start to iron.

Always use a heat protection or smoothing serum; not the sprays as they tend to evaporate and leave your hair frazzled (as does any moisture if you leave your hair wet).

Even though they are more expensive, straighteners over about the $80 mark tend to be of better quality, but you can often pick up a cheapie which does the job equally as well - make sure you get a recommendation before you buy though.

Hope these tips help. =)

Good luck!

Okay, I already asked about hair straighteners..now...?

ceramic irons are better for your hair, it doesn't burn it as much and i read something about it sealing the moisture in your hair, so it doesnt' dry out and get all gross fast.

i really like chi's, i have one right now and it works really good. my friend has a hai and she said that one's really good for her. those start at around $100 depending on which one you buy.

check out folica.com :) that's where i bought my chi from

Okay, I already asked about hair straighteners..now...?

if you are looking for the best, id say chi. jcpennys has a sale 142.00 plus 25 % off...127. and some change after tax. some come with silk serum. but for the first time user i would say get one with a temp gauge so you dont burn your hair. yes it will help with the frizzies, if you go cheaper, use a heat protector spray or serum, if serum, dont put alot on..it can make your hair very greasy and weigh it down.

Okay, I already asked about hair straighteners..now...?

I have heard very good things about the brand CHI and ceramic does seem better. If you want a good straightener you will probably be looking at about 100 dollars or so.

Damaged Hair..?

I use a hair straightener every day, because i have natural wavy/ curly hair, and its really ugly. It takes me 2 hours every other day to straighten..

i've been doing this for a few years now, and i have tons of split ends and really damaged hair.

i really dont want to cut it short, because it is sort of long.

is that the only option or is there some way to restore my damaged hair?

thanks.

Damaged Hair..?

Damaged Hair..?

I have very long hair that lost some of its condition from using permanent hair dyes. I've tried all sorts of conditioners from boots etc until I popped into a salon in London for some advice. He recommended Wella System Professional Power Mask. It can only be purchased through salons but you can order it on line and also on ebay. After a couple of weeks it had made a huge difference to my hair, it was much silkier and tangle free. Besides that I'd recommend using a heat protection spray before using your straighteners and regular trims to keep the split ends at bay. Hope that helps.

Queen Helene conditioning shampoo.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

so yea.. i have thin... fine.. flat... straight.. hair... and im running out of ideas... everyday.. its down, sometimes i part it a little off to the side, i have my hair slightely layered, and my bangs layered starting at the tops of my cheeks..

and i want something to do with my hair, i have absolutely no money right now, so a new cut is out of the question,

i have a hair straightener, a blowdryer, curling iron, 1 inch and 1/2 inch, and hair spray... and gel...

i need to find a styler using that.. i have hairties obviously.. but.. idk wat i should do.. i have a roundish face to.. so that kinda makes a difference.. and idk

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

Try some the new Herbal Essences Shampoos...They really work great. They have one for body and lift...and it's only a few bucks.

My sister has thin hair and always blow drys her hair upside down. From the underneath. It gives her more body. She has also used curlers on her hair but only underneath. So when she takes them out the curls push her hair up and out. She looks really cute :) hope this helps. Hair is such a pain :)

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

Consider going to your stylist and getting frontal extensions. YOU WILL LOVE THEM! It adds thickness and volume to your hair, not length. It's kind of pricey, but well worth it.

Also, try curling it with your larger curling iron. That will look way cute! Then brush the curls out for loose waves.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

short choppy pixie cut.

do it yourself.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

Wear it up - french twist with teased top....Phebee on Friends wore it like this a couple of times.

Also wear it half up (not like on top with barrette) but start at the top of your ears, pull straight back and secure with clip. Pull down wispys in front for softness.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

Throw some mousse in your hair after the shower and blow dry. Put some curls in it...go crazy with the curls too, lots of them and ticghtly wound...and if your hair is a fine and thin as mine it will look killer in 20 mins because it will mellow out a little.

Blow dry your hair with your head upside down too. It gets tiring so let it air dry a little then throw in some mousse and hang your head down and dry it that way. It will add a little volume so your hair dowsn't lay flat on your head.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

I love straight hair.

Don't do anything with it.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

backcomb the crown area at the root then smooth it out.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

Ok. For flat thin hair, layers work best, it takes out a lot of weight that would normally weigh your hair down. If you cant afford a haircut than i suggest blow drying your hair with your head upside down when its wet. Use product such as a volumizer (mouse, gel, whatever). I tease my hair if its a little flat. (but thats bad for your hair) Also you can invest in velcro rollers, their quick and cheap. Let me know if you need help with those.

Good Luck.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

Fine Hair has the appearance of softness, which can be very feminine and appealing. However, if you want it to look thicker, you should have it layered slightly. A soft body wave adds fullness and hair coloring can also give more body and make it look thicker.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

Watch "Law and Order". Look for an episode with Carey Lowell (who just happens to be Richard Gere's wife and a former Bond girl). She has fine straight hair. Wear your hair short in a "boy cut". With that hair you probably have fine features so the hair off your face will look great. Don't FIGHT your hair, find out how it looks best - and the short "little boy cut" would look great - and any competent stylist can do it for like $18.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

Get some mouse put in in you hair after you wash it blow dry your hair upside down rubbing your hands on your scalp that makes the scalp dry faster and gives more lift. You dont have to blow dry the rest as much you can let that dry on its own. After your hair is dry with mouse and everything done.Curl it not large sections either small sections .when your done spray your hair underneath first with a little hairspray and than the rest.

FLaT THiN FiNe HaiR!!?

i have the exact same problem and hair cut. i blow my hair with my head upside down and while its wet i put mousse in it. I've tried to curl it but with my hair it doesn't work very well.

Is there a wrong way to cut hair?

I've been trying to get healthy hair so I haven't used my hair straightener for over a month and I cut my hair because my ends were so dead. But now that I look at my tips I'm beginning to see a bunch of split ends. What could be causing this and how can I prevent split ends.

Is there a wrong way to cut hair?

do you color/highlight or use heating products such as curling irons, blow dryers etc. Do you comb your hair with a brush when it's wet or a comb? All of these could be contributing factors for split ends. You should get your hair cut every 6 weeks at least. What kind of hair products do you use? Do you use a deep conditioner once in a while. Your hair could be breaking off at the ends if you aren't taking care of it. You should invest in some good hair products and a good stylist! You will be amazed at the difference a GOOD haircut could make!

Is there a wrong way to cut hair?

Yes, if you cut in the wrong direction...

Is there a wrong way to cut hair?

yes

Is there a wrong way to cut hair?

i have split ends and do nothing but brush my hair... but i also constantly wear it up in a hair thing... that will tend to break hair... and also the way you brush....

Is there a wrong way to cut hair?

split ends can be eliminated by a haircut... sometimes if u let it go too long u need to cut alot off... because lettin the hair break and split causes the follicle to become veryyyyy weak. I would suggest buyin intensive conditioners and use biosilk by farouk. I put it in my ends b4 i straighten my hair and my hair feels like silk!

Is there a wrong way to cut hair?

You need to go to a hairstylist and tell him/her to trim your hair at the ends. Then try something like the Dove Therapy shampoo and conditioner.

Is there a wrong way to cut hair?

If you use hair softener for your split ends and try not cutting your hair for a while

My hair is too heavy?

my hair is thick and really heavy...no matter what i use to style with, my bangs fall to the sides when i spike em up..i was wondering, besides getting my hair thinned and texturized, would using a hair straightener make my hair less heavy?

My hair is too heavy?

no hair straightners don't make ur hair thinner or less heavy they just flaten the frizz the best thing to do is to cuz it... go to ur stylist for further advice.. good luck

My hair is too heavy?

Go to your stylist and tell them you want layers so your hair won't be so chunky/thick.

My hair is too heavy?

the best way is to cut your hair or bald...lol

My hair is too heavy?

cutting it will make it less heavy

My hair is too heavy?

you should give straightening a try... it definitly makes my hair thinner... go for it!

My hair is too heavy?

Ask your stylist for a razor cut. Instead of scissors, they use a blade to cut your hair and it takes a LOT of the bulk out and makes it look nice. It is GREAT if you like to spike your hair.

A straightener will just make it look thinner~ but you could try it!

My hair is too heavy?

I have the same problem.

I have thick straight hair.

I get a body perm and it lifts the hair from the scalp!

This is good for three ar four months.

My hair is too heavy?

cut ur hair with more layers.

My hair is too heavy?

Try layers and have you ever used the straightener,

CHI, it straightens great and also leaves your hair

shinny.

You can buy at any salon. ($100)

My hair is too heavy?

using straightners will make your hair more heavy due to using the product. All the straightner does is put a product on the hair to make the follicles lay flat. The only way to loose the havyness is to have it cut. This doesnt mean loosing length but layering the hair.

How can I get really stick straight hair that is smooth?

I have a CHI hair straightener and I use heat protectant but my hair never gets the way I want it to. My hair is wavy and but it gets most curly underneath and I have a hard time straightening underneath. Does anyone else have this problem and are there any products or tips you recommend.

How can I get really stick straight hair that is smooth?

Ahhhhh.....The everlasting quest.

How can I get really stick straight hair that is smooth?

I used to have HORRIBLY curly, think hair. suggest getting it professionally straightend. Like a perm. I did, and I'm SO happy with the results. Afterwards, I used a straightening gel (from AVON) and it got to looking so SMOOOOOOOTH!

How can I get really stick straight hair that is smooth?

Maybe the flat iron is not hot enough. Make sure you use hair conditioner after shampooing to give a bit of weight to your hair. Other wise over time your hair may straighten out with use of the flat iron. But for extreme lasting straight hair you could get a consultation for the YUKI system (permanent straightening) from a professional at a salon.

How can I get really stick straight hair that is smooth?

I recently heard about japanese hair straightening. You have to get it done proffesionally.

How can I get really stick straight hair that is smooth?

Yes. I have very unruly cury hair. If you want to straighten the bottom, try putting your hair in a half-up-half-down (accordingly) it makes it a lot easier. I use Straighten Up spray by John Freida (i think). You can find it at CVS. Good luck! I feel your pain!

How can I get really stick straight hair that is smooth?

well i had friends who had hair like that.......and also my mother also had that type of hair....

what both of them did was every time after they bathed.....after like 30 minutes.....they use to use a hair dryer and blow dry their hair.......if u do this for 1 month.....im sure ur hair will be diffenrent......it will be more straight!

hope i helped!!!!!best of luk!!!!!

How can I get really stick straight hair that is smooth?

the CHI straightener is an awful choice. it damages hair and its hard to operate. use the maxiglide.

( http://www.maxiglide.tv ) that works best for me and i have unruly, unmanegable hair. its leaves my hair silky and shiny.

make sure that you blowdry, and use a leave-in conditioner before you start to flat iron. then, divide the hair in sections, and start with the bottom/back layers. then work your way to the top layers. use hairspray when youre done.

good luck

How can I get really stick straight hair that is smooth?

Try using a straightening lotion with heat protectors. Then blow dry straight with a round brush. After that, your hair should be pretty straight. To smooth it out and give it the very sleek look, then you can finally go over your hair with the iron. Good luck.

How can I get really stick straight hair that is smooth?

before you blow dry use TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Serum.

How do you create curls with hair straighteners?

Apparently you can curl hair with hair straighers but does anyone know how to do it, I alway just end up with flicks!!!

How do you create curls with hair straighteners?

Hey, go on www.ghdhair.com and click on Trends. Then click on Looks, and they click on Step by Step techniques. Finally click on curls and it will show you a brilliant video on how to do it. This is how I learnt to do it. :)

How do you create curls with hair straighteners?

It works best if u use a curved straightener instead of a normal one.

How do you create curls with hair straighteners?

i don't know how you do that! but i have seen people do it before.

How do you create curls with hair straighteners?

I'm pretty sure you can't.. To curl it has to be round and straighteners aren't, ever I don't think.

Curling irons are just as expensive as straighteners. And the good thing is, sometimes you can straighten AND curl with a curling iron.

But you can't curl with a straightener.. Unfortunatley.

How do you create curls with hair straighteners?

take the straitening Iron and straiten the hair as usual then run it through the section of hair until you reach the end apply a little more pressure and turn under or outwards....i do not think that you can do any other curling methods w/o a curling iron.

How do you create curls with hair straighteners?

Actually I have seen people with the ceramic straightners curl hair before the straighter are a lot more skinnier so its easier for it to make nice curls. I acutally went to the mall and this lady who was selling one of the ceramic straightner demonstrate it to me so yea its a lil expenisve but its worth it.

does flips straightens and curls so yea check it out! hope this helps

How do you create curls with hair straighteners?

I run the straighteners through my hair and twist in a spiral motion. You have to keep the straighteners tight though and go quite slowly and you need some product too.

How do you create curls with hair straighteners?

hiya

you CAN do it! even with normal staightners ... and my results end up great!

Get the staightners at the ed of a piece of hair and then wrap the hair around them until it reaches the top - then siply let go !

Do it in only small chunks and if you have thick hair then do it even smaller ones!

Sorry i cant really explain it in words, but ive done my best!

Just experiment!

:)

How do you create curls with hair straighteners?

grab a strand of hair straighten it and when u get to the tip twist it but dont tighten it too much leave it twisted a couple of seconds then release and thats it, good luck

How do you create curls with hair straighteners?

How to Curl Your Hair With a Hair Straightener

http://homebeautytips.blogspot.com/2007/...

How do you create curls with hair straighteners?

i always wondered this, but now i know.

there's two ways you can do it. you can wait until the strightener heats up, then seperate your hair into small sections. run the strighteners along the first section, then close them as they reach the end of your hair. roll them up your hair like a curling iron and hold for a few minutes. gently release then strighteners and there should be a curl.

second way. position the strightener as if you were going to strighten your hair. close them tightly and move they straightener down the hair, flipping and rolloing the starightener up as you go. this was the way i was taught.

it also holds better if you spray the hair with a curling lotion or hairspray before you curl, and they hair is not newly washed or dirty.

Hope that helps.

love Mel XxX

How do you create curls with hair straighteners?

I curl my hair everyday with normal GHD flat straighteners, it is possible lol.

It is really hard to explain what to do, but here goes:

* Put your straightner at the root of the hair

* Clip about an inch of hair inside the iron

* Twist the straightner (with the hair still in it) and drag down

* Make sure that you keep the hair tight in the straigtner and drag it down quite slow and hard.

* Before you reach the bottom of the strands of hair, quickly release the hair so you don't split your ends!

This really works, i hope i explained it. I tried my best, it works for me, honestly.

Experiment, i did, and i worked it out babe.

Good Luck, it will look gorg when you've finished x x

How do you create curls with hair straighteners?

Its pretty hard to explain to be honest! Wrap a thin bit of hair round the hair straightener really loosely and let go after just a couple of seconds. Alternitavely (don't know how to spell that) you could wrap a thin bit of hair round a pencil and heat it with the straightener by pressing on the hair wrapped round ge pencil.

How do you create curls with hair straighteners?

i know how to do it but its quite hard to explain. but i will try what you do is you put you hair in the straighteners at normal but as you go down you have to twist it. So all of the piece of hair goes through the plates. DON'T LEAVE IT FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES LIKE NORMAL CURLERS. cause you will get a funny curl. you need to just twist and go down the hair straight away! hope that helped! x

My dark brown hair. dye?

Well first of all i'm a guy and I don't care if my hair gets ruined dying it. Well I took some of my old hair that my parents saved when I was little (idk why they did that) and sprayed it with hydrogen peroxide (3%) and put it on my sisters hair straightener. And it turned blonde. back then I had light brown hair and now it's dark brown and was wondering how long would it take if i had the stuff in my hair with some heat to get it light brown. thank you. if there are any other ways please tell me.

Are you trying to maintain your curly hair? If so try using a produc that advertises loose curls. They will help your hair still be naturally curly but more manageable. If you are trying to straigten your hair and it will not come out how you want, try a styling gel that is made for straight hair. Therefore, it will hold better.

I also have naturally curly hair. My beautician thins it out with a razor comb. It keeps your hair from being as thick and heavy. With less weight your curls will be more defined. Also have long layers cut in your hair, your curls will rock!

I have naturally curly hair...I straighten it with a flat iron thencurl the ends, you can buy sheen which will make your hair less frizzy and more shinny. I get compliments on my curls all the time (I perfer straight) but I use only Fruit Ganier products (smells nice) they have soothing milk I apply when my hair is very wet...I wait about 10 minutes then apply curl construction moose (locks the curls) and stiff gel (tames and weights down the frizz). I let it naturally dry. I have noitice you can not comb your hair dry it will frizz, so before you get into the shower brush your hair then when you come out you will not need to brush again until the next time you need to style.

Honestly curls are soooo much better...this girl (i hate her) bragged about how she lets her hair dry (its naturally curly) and in the morning hairsprys it to keep the curls. If you want to straighten it you need a RELLY REALLY good (and yes expensive) straightner...

Hair styles: braided pig tails, half pony, a side ways pony tail, or use bobby pins to hold sides...or look through Tenn Vogue for hair styles.

How to straighten my hair??

Ok, I got the new Bed Head light me uo hair straightener!

I have very curly hair, today I used it for the first time, but my hair didn't got as straight as I thought it was going to get!

The straightener hasdifferent TEMPERATURES that go from 175 to 400, but I used it in 225, should I use it in the TEMPERATURE 400!!???

WHAT SHOULD I DO?????

How to straighten my hair??

Hi! I have wavy hair and live in the south, where it's often quite humid. I have a "chi" straightener and keep it on 400 degrees. So that I don't fry my hair to a crisp, I always spray or rub on a product specifically for use with styling tools. My daughter loves Clairol's "Dangerously Straight Iron Me Flat Finishing Spray". Also, if you use a product like Bed Head's After Party or one of their other leave-in products for straight hair, your hair will stay straight after you've spent all that time on it!

How to straighten my hair??

Yes It will get straighter!

How to straighten my hair??

Work your way up, kid. Don't mess with your hair too much.

How to straighten my hair??

Slowly go up on the temperature and test out which temperature works best for you hair.

How to straighten my hair??

yes make it hotter. and straighten it in small sections at a time. also, try john friedas new line of straight hair shampoos and conditioners.

How to straighten my hair??

you could try using a product with it to protect your hair and help it keep the straight texture longer, and yea, if you have thick hair thats curly you deff want it hotter than 225, prolly like 350 or maybe 400, try 325 next and use some flat out finishing spray from herbal essences when your done to hold the look longer

閳?br>How to straighten my hair??

400 would fry your hair!!!

go a little past what temp your at now until you are satisfied

just try not to go to 400

How to straighten my hair??

Yes, if you have really curly hair. The BedHead stylers really don't get as hot as they say, but make sure you use a heat protecting spray, and maybe try blowing it out with a round brush and blow dryer first.

How to straighten my hair??

You should try the strightener in the hottest temp. but in a place that wont be noticable. Also use a strightening creme and a creme that will help with frizz:)

How to straighten my hair??

well first of all you need to wash your hair and condition it very heavy and let it air dry while you are brushing it use sunsilk 24/7 creme and then after it drys you use the temp you were using and slowly pull it down your hair it will get straight but it takes a while and a few times going over it to make it straight...I have to do this everyday to my stepdaughters

How to straighten my hair??

lol, when they have different temperatures like that, just use the highest. You won't kill your hair. It'll make it as straight as that straightener can make it.

How to straighten my hair??

i dont think its so great to use the 400 degree temperature, it'll damage your hair if you straighten your hair often.

How to straighten my hair??

have you ever tried to blow dry it straight with a round brush. Then use your straightener to touch it up.

How to straighten my hair??

maybe you should try hair straiting stuff before the straightening, and when your straitening all ways do it on small sections and brush after each time going thought with the straightener. i hope this helps! and good luck!

How to straighten my hair??

you could turn it to about 275?! if ur hair is really curly, try to straighten it more than once that should help. you could also hold it in one spot for longer. Ive never tried it but it might work!

How to straighten my hair??

I don't think you should go all the way up to 400, it will damage your hair. Maybe go 275. Maybe try using some straightning hair spray. You spray it on just before you straighten that piece or hair. Straighten your hair in little pieces and remember to do the bottem layers of your hair. Just spend some more time straightening it and it should work out!

How to straighten my hair??

I used to have the same problem, but try this technique.First of all dont put it all the up to 400 your hair will fry and get damaged. Although you can put it up a little higher. When you straighten leave a small layer of hair down and pull the rest up [big clips work best for this]. Once your done with that layer let a little more down and keep doing this. Once you are done spray with a straightening spray or cream to hold your hair.

How do i get my hair to stay straight for longer.?

after i straighten it.

I have a good straightening conditioner. Lots of moisture as i straighten my hair almost every morning.

Any products or tips to keep it straight for longer?

oh and i have a good hi-lift hair straightener. It does a great job :)

How do i get my hair to stay straight for longer.?

There is a great product out there called Redkin "smooth down." you put a tiny amount in your palms run it trough the hair, and it shuts the cuticle down even more and locks it into place. It keeps the hair straight while combating some of the natural oio your hair secretes to keep it straighter longer without it being oily! My stylist told me about it last year, and i only wash/straighten every 3 days now!

How do i get my hair to stay straight for longer.?

get it permed%26gt; it's easy and fast all you have to do is use the right shampoo to take care of it and it will stay straight for a pretty long time because i got mines permed and it stayed like that for about 2 years or less.

How can i straighten my hair...?

Can someone please tell me how to straighten my hair wit a hair straightener, but still have bounce in it? Thanks for your help! :-)

How can i straighten my hair...?

With a flat iron.

How can i straighten my hair...?

Use Sunsilk Satin Straight. Works great!

How can i straighten my hair...?

when you straighten go through your hair really fast and after each piece that you straighten while its still hot scrunch it

How can i straighten my hair...?

don't straighten the underneath layers so much, just the top.

you can dry it with the brush facing away from your head, and also use some hairspray :)

How can i straighten my hair...?

Straightening wand.

How can i straighten my hair...?

When you are straighting it instead of coming straight down make it poof a little almost as if you were flipping the ends under.

How can i straighten my hair...?

find a product in the store made for using in your hair before u use a straightening iron. i suggest paul mitchel straighteners, though they can be a little pricey

How can i straighten my hair...?

After washing and drying your hair, section it off leaving the bottom loose. Use clips, as many as you need to hold your hair up by taking pieces and twist and twirl and clip out of the way, while you work on the loose part. take sections about 1" or 1 1/2" wide comb through fist then run flat iron from roots to bottom. Go quickly when you reach the ends of your hair so you don't damage your hair. When you finish a section let out a little more hair and clip the rest back up. Keep going till done. S.Dunn

Hair styling problem!?

I have wavy hair and i bought a hair straightener recently. How much time does it take it to straighten everyday and whats the ideal procedure since i end up in dry hair and my hair starts curling in 1 hour..

Please help!

Hair styling problem!?

well....blow dry ur hair and then staighten. it doesnt matter if ur hair is wavy or not it'll still get striaght

Hair styling problem!?

yeh

Hair styling problem!?

straightening curly hair usually takes about half an hour to 45 minutes, and i know because i have curly hair

and wavy hair wouldn't take as long because it's easier to straighten and you don't have to keep going over the hair to keep it straight.

xx hope this helps!

Hair straightening products that work!!?

Okay, so my hair for the most part is straight except the very lower back of my head. It tends to curl up when it gets longer and it drives meCRAZY. When I get out of the shower my hair is straight because of the water of course, but when it fully drives the part that curls up does it again. My question is, does anyone know or has tried a product (gels, mousse, whatever) that will keep my hair fully straight? Anything besides a hair straightener is what I'm looking for.

Thanks for your help.

Hair straightening products that work!!?

Aveda "Hang Straight" is like a cream/ "lotion" that you put on damp hair...it works good!

Hair straightening products that work!!?

Paul Mitchell's Express Style Quick Slip Styling Cream.Blow dry while combing w/ a paddle brush. It says 2 finish w/ a flat iron but i guess w/o it is ok.

Hair straightening products that work!!?

Instead of buying Creams Or shampoo just trimm your hair alittle bit and cut off the curled part of you hair. Then hopefully the bottom would become less curly. Hoped i helped

Something I don't understand about hair straighteners..........?

Everyone says that if you use one too much, your hair get's dry and dead. I use it almost daily and everyone I know says that my hair is soft and healthy. I don't understand!

Something I don't understand about hair straighteners..........?

You must be doing it right- I'm guessing that since you use it daily, you are using an iron-type . If used correctly, this is not significantly damaging.

Chemical hair straighteners are much more damaging.

General good health and diet also help keep your hair well. Congratualtions!

Something I don't understand about hair straighteners..........?

It's all about the shampoo and conditioner you use, and how you treat your hair and what you put in it:) Sounds like your doing it right;)

Something I don't understand about hair straighteners..........?

If your hair is staying healthy, you're very lucky - best way to keep it like that if you're going to continue using the product is to wash and condition your hair withs shampoo and conditioner that does not contain alcohol. Silk Elements and Motions are very popular, affordable and is avail in all beauty supply stores.

Something I don't understand about hair straighteners..........?

If your hair is super healthy, it'll be fine even if you 'torture' it tons of times.

Some people are born with really good hair. Everyone is different. I curl/straighten my hair twice a year and it's fine. My dancer friend uses hair straighteners on every performance and it's still fine. Another straightens it just once and she had to cut it short because it frizzed so badly.

It also depends on the method. Some people hold it to close to the roots and damage their hair shaft. Some hold it too long at a time. Hair products may or may not be used.

It's good that it poses no problems for you lucky gal.

One word of caution though, with age, your hair is less resistant to damage.

And if you have inherited the genes of baldness like some of my girlfriends, may even start losing hair.. a lot of hair.. regardless of your current hair condition.

This question is for black women with naturally curly hair. I would like to relax my hair at home wh

The best relaxer to use? I really don't want anything too harsh, just a good hair straightener for my hair. Someone told me Gentle Treatment or Dark %26amp; Lovely.

Any ideas, I color my hair to cover gray 2 1/2 weeks ago

This question is for black women with naturally curly hair. I would like to relax my hair at home which is?

I use Gentle Treatment for my hair. I also used Dark and Lovely so I can give a goo comparison. Gentle Treatment is best for women who have recently had any other chemical treatment to their hair like a touch up or a color treatment. You had a color treatment about 3 weeks ago so Gentle would be best. Dark and Lovely is for women who haven't had a chemical treatment prior 2 months is has a higher (not much) concentration then Gentle treatment. Enjoy!

This question is for black women with naturally curly hair. I would like to relax my hair at home which is?

sounds good to me

This question is for black women with naturally curly hair. I would like to relax my hair at home which is?

You could try 'Olivio'. Its meant to be very gentle.

This question is for black women with naturally curly hair. I would like to relax my hair at home which is?

i use 'regular motions herbal' it works good

This question is for black women with naturally curly hair. I would like to relax my hair at home which is?

Dark n lovely, Motions, and Cream of Nature Perms all work for me. Just don't use them all at once

This question is for black women with naturally curly hair. I would like to relax my hair at home which is?

I use motions or mizani they work the best but you should try going to a professional first before you attempt to do it home because there are alot of things that could go wrong

Hair extension info!!?

my homecoming is in two weeks!

and i want to get hair extensions to make me look even hotter!

i don't know much about them really, :/

but i want them so bad.

*where can i buy them?

*what hair salons put them in?

*how much are they?

*should i get human hair?

*would i be able to style it? like with a curling iron or hair straightener?

thanks :)

Hair extension info!!?

Go to your local hair stylist and they should have hair extentions there you can have professionally put in and while there if you want them curled or straightened you can get it done. Im pretty sure you can curl them and stuff like that, but you would probably want a professional to do it, not yourself cuz theres a big chance you'll mess them up. : )

good luck!

Hair extension info!!?

http://hairextensions.pinurl.com

This site should be able to answer most of your questions.

Hair extension info!!?

you can get them at sallys beauty supply but only if your pro and sorry but you don't sound skilled enough

any salon that has them check in your area expensive though

human hair more then 500$ at salon

yes human hair is best because otherwise it looks bad

human hair you can style synthetic you cant. i suggest you get clip ins.

Hair extension info!!?

You should go see a professional stylist who is experienced in hair extensions and weaving. They can do it better than anyone else. But also make sure you look at their previous work and see if you like it. Ask them to explain the process of putting it in to you and how to maintain it. Also request that human hair be used because it looks much better blending with your own hair and you can style it with heat as you would your own hair. Just make sure you are comfortable with the stylist and you get all the info you need from them.

Hair extension info!!?

I would suggest getting clip-in extensions as the glue-in ones will damage your hair -- AND you can re-use your clip ins for other occasions.

They come in both synthetic and human hair.

Synthetic clip ins are less expensive. They last about 3 months. But they cannot be curled or straightened with heated irons.

Human hair extensions are the top of the line. They cost about $450 (for the Jessica Simpson Hairdo brand) and last about a year or longer. You can style them with curling irons and straighteners.

How can I get rid poofy hair?

Well I'm trying to stop using a hair straightener.

and btw i have african american "ethic" hair

I ussually have to straighten it to make it smooth and stuff, but like i said I"ve given up my hair striaghtener. so...

Do u guys know anything I can buy, something affordable, that i can spray on my hair before i blow dry as to make it not a big poof mess when im doen blow drying.

Also I"ve tried that whole blow dry your hair straight thingy with the round brush, it doesnt work for me, i think its because my hair it too short or maybe its just my type of hair.

and btw i have african american "ethic" hair

How can I get rid poofy hair?

Do you relax your hair? That can cause a ton of damage, so consider working on limiting that damage (e.g. by going natural or working on the method in which you take care of hair).

Beyond the Zone's Smooth Shot is a serum found at Sally's which can help; it may be discontinued now, but I've found that John Freida's Frizz-Ease stuff is almost as good. Use a heat protectant like Thermasilk's spray to protect ends from damage, too. Also, consider ditching the blow-drier and using a small ceramic iron instead, because blow-dryers can result in lots of volume (triangle head).

I'm including links to sites that have great tips for those with kinks (these things may sound weird, but I've heard of people with "ethnic" hair having great success with them).

How can I get rid poofy hair?

is your hair curly? i cant really figure that out...

only brush your hair while in the shower. not afterwards because itll break up your curls definition.

dont blowdry it.

while its damp (from a shower or just wetting it) put a golfball sized glob of mousse in your hand.

squish it through your hair.

scrunch

spray with strong hairspray and scrunch it again.

hope that helps

I want to get my hair straight but if i get it straight then i dnt know if i can get it back to curly?

well if its a permanent straigtner (chemical) all you have to do is curl it with a curling iron.

if its a regular hair straigtner just wet your hair and it will go back to curly.

I want to get my hair straight but if i get it straight then i dnt know if i can get it back to curly?

u can use a straihtging iron then curl it back

I want to get my hair straight but if i get it straight then i dnt know if i can get it back to curly?

Yes.

My mother straightend her hair (which is very curly) with a professional kit. Within 2-3 weeks her natural hair style came back out.

I want to get my hair straight but if i get it straight then i dnt know if i can get it back to curly?

just go to a buatuy salon and ask for a hair treament that would make ur hair straight and heathly but its not premente

or u could buy a relaxer ur hair stays straigh for almost one mouth

I want to get my hair straight but if i get it straight then i dnt know if i can get it back to curly?

yes obviously.. since ur hair is naturally curly once u wash ur hair dey wil b back 2 normal.. experienced

I want to get my hair straight but if i get it straight then i dnt know if i can get it back to curly?

if you straighten your hair the curls will come back!!! but if you continuously straighten it alot eventually it wont be as curly as it used to before. but you can straighten w/o loosin all ur curls.

I want to get my hair straight but if i get it straight then i dnt know if i can get it back to curly?

Buy a really good straightening iron (www.folica.com)...The more expensive ones get it really straight, smooth and shiny...

When u want it curly again just wash ur hair ...

I want to get my hair straight but if i get it straight then i dnt know if i can get it back to curly?

u use a curler

I want to get my hair straight but if i get it straight then i dnt know if i can get it back to curly?

ive had my hair chemically straightened before, it worked for a bit but it grows out, as does anythin u do to your hair. if your hair is naturally curly it doesnt really matter what you do to it, it will always end up back to the way it originally is.

I want to get my hair straight but if i get it straight then i dnt know if i can get it back to curly?

If you use a chemical straightener you will have to grow the straight hair out to get back to curly. You also have to do it all the time to keep it from looking bad. An at home straightener is likely to damage your hair as well.

If you want the option of going curly or straight then invest in a good ceramic hair straightener. The best ones can be found in beauty salons but can run as high as $500. I have a metal one that works great on my hair but my hair is fine and wavy. The metal ones will cost about $30. I got mine because I can also crimp my hair with it. ;)

I want to get my hair straight but if i get it straight then i dnt know if i can get it back to curly?

wash it smart stuff

I want to get my hair straight but if i get it straight then i dnt know if i can get it back to curly?

If you want the versatility of switching back %26amp; forth, you should just use a straightening iron %26amp; good styling product to style it straight when you wish to wear it that way.

This product i've used %26amp; gladly recommend to anyone with crazy curl hair who's trying to style it straight-

http://www.sabinohair.com/moisture-manag...

I'd go out in the rain %26amp; it'd get wet %26amp; redry %26amp; it'd be fine-it did amazing for my hair (which is a naturally curly, soft - spiral curls Just past shoulder length)

Good Luck (a little of this product goes a long way-i use a dime size amt on my hair)

Thick Hair?

I have a thick hair and makes me fed-up about it. It makes me to go for a regular hair-cut. Its kinda wasted coz my hair is short. The matter is that my hair will rise up when my it is dry. So I think after a shower, the water weighs it down.

I just would like to know how to solve this situation either go to salon for blow-drying or chemical straightening or self repair(ceramic hair straightener)?

Really need your help guyz....

Thick Hair?

My suggestion is next time you go get a haircut ask them the thin it out a little. By doing this your hair will lay flatter and weight less and be better to control. I have to have this done so I don't get headaches.

Good Luck!!! Hope this helps.

Thick Hair?

I totally have thick hair that increases in volume when it dries... infact, I sometimes look like a fuzz ball........................ UNTIL... I found out how to calm my hair using a straightening iron (a really good one, not just a cheap one from Walmart). I also can use my 2 inch barrel curling iron to straighten my hair (although, I do have to do my hairs in small chunks). If you're in a super hurry %26amp; don't care about possibly getting burned try using a clothes iron (not the steam setting). IT"S TRUE!! I tried it %26amp; it works! But then, my hair is long and so I could drape it over the ironing board. LOL

Thick Hair?

i totally know what u mean i have the same problem and like the next girl , a straightner helps alot, try it..

Thick Hair?

My hair is also really thick...But be happy about it.. You wouldnt want to have thin strangley hair would you?

As soon as my hair drys after being washed... Its wavy and very 'risen'. If you dont already.. have some nice layers cut into your hair... This can help alot. If you do have layers... If you can get away with it without it looking silly... get some more noticable choppy layers cut in.

And straightening your hair helps too. Well.. it did for me!

I would suugest buying a pair of Remingtons Fabric Plated Hair Straighteners. I have had a few pairs of straighteners before and these are the best so far. They work just as well as GHD straighteners...which everyone assume are the best.

The fabric plates reduce damage to your hair by 70%

This reduces split ends... Split ends can also make hair look bigger and thicker. Using the straighteners everyday/ every 2 days will keep your hair looking sleek.

http://www.uk.remington-europe.com/conte...

I would also suggest gettin "Trevor sorbie" Spray in proctecter which you spray before you use the irons, This protects your hair even more, reduces frizz (again,, helping to add a thinner, sleeker look) and adds a nice shine... Good luck =) x.x

Thick Hair?

well the best way to do it is grow your beautiful hair out and get major layers.

thats what makes it thinner and WAY easier to style.

Thick Hair?

i have the same problem, my hair is VERY thick. If i cut it it is a waste of money and time, it is so wavy it just won't work.

for help ask a professional hair stylist.

Thick Hair?

Try getting your hair layered. Change the shampoo that you are using.

Thick Hair?

My advice 2 u iz 2 roller-wrap ur hair.By doing this every other week,ur hair will eventually be trained to be roller-wrapped.I'll give u da stepz okay.

Step1:wash ur hair w/shampoo 3 times.

Step2:rub conditioner all in ur hair then comb through it.Let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes. Then rinse out.

Step3:Comb through ur hair again, and put setting lotion (i would prefer Lotto Body).

Step4:Part ur hair into 3 parts(going straight back),part through those and put rollers in it.

Step5:get under the hairdryer for 3 to 4 hours or until dry.

Step6:Carefully unroll and take the curlers out and wrap ur hair all the way around ur head.(put a part to start the wrap).

Thick Hair?

I know this might not be the best answer for you, but I really think you should have your hair shaved, women like bald headed woman, give it a try, then you don't have to worry about it.

My hair is driving me nuts! straightening tips?

I have wavy hair. I own a CHI hair straightener and it works really well. but for some reason, my hair never gets super straight the way i want it, even after straightening it for like an hour! after i straighten it really well and i walk to work, my hair gets wavy and frizzy once i get there and its so frustrating! what can i do to get super super straight hair and make it stay that way all day?? thaanks for your help i really appreciate it!

My hair is driving me nuts! straightening tips?

CHI products also sells other items to use while straightening your hair. You can go to any local beauty store and they probably sell them. A sales rep can help you find the best solutions for your hair! Good luck. =)

My hair is driving me nuts! straightening tips?

There are lots of straightening shampoos and conditioners out there, at all prices.

Also try using a de-frizz serum that u put on wet hair, or even a sleek and shine serum works well.

After straightwening, spray on hairspray or even gel to reduce frizzies more, and then hairspray the rest of your hair lightly so it stays liek that all day!!

My hair is driving me nuts! straightening tips?

Use "Matrix Sleek Look" shampoo, conditioner, and styling products. (its in an orange bottle) You can purchase it at CVS, Walgreens, Wal- Mart, or your local hair salon. Its a little pricey but i think it works great.

My hair is driving me nuts! straightening tips?

After I get tired of having a spiral perm, I straighten it.. get a home perm kit, and follow the instructions.. just don't put the rollers in, and constantly comb your hair straight down. Put both solutions on, leave in for amounted time, rinse, etc. Your hair will be straight. And I still use a hair straighter (iron) on mine too to make it even straighter.

My hair is driving me nuts! straightening tips?

My hair is straight anyway but to make it stick straight I use the John Frieda products- Frizz Ease and they have a spray on hair straightener you use after you wash your hair. It's VERY effective- and conditions more than actual hair conditioners, like Pantene, which I also use. Good luck!

My hair is driving me nuts! straightening tips?

I have very long curly hair and I know the feeling of having to take so much time to make it straight! And then after all that work having it get frizzy or start to curly again. It's a very annoying feeling.

But I found this stuff that works pretty good, try L'Oreal Studio Line Hot Straight. its a straightening cream that resists humidity for long-lasting straight hair.

My hair is driving me nuts! straightening tips?

Buy a hair relaxer kit, its the opposite to a perm kit. It will straighten your hair, and stay that way 24/7 for about 3-6 months. I did it, and I liked the results. Besides it saves time on trying to straighten you hair everyday with the CHI. Good luck

Major HAir problems?!?

Here's what i do now:

i swim about 5 days a week and an hour or so after pratices i use herbal essance hydrating shampoo, then after the shower i use sunsilk umph creme for volume.

i have very oily hair so i usualy use herbal essance clarifying smapoo and baby powder.

I have annoying curls around my bangs so i use john freedman spray and sometimes a hair straightener.

I have very thin almost invisable hair because of swimming so i use sunsilk umph shampoo or loreal kids volumizing shamoo and sunslik creme.

My hair is very blonde from swimming and the sun, but my eyebrows are black so it looks weird. Should i get it dyed?

All this, and my hair is still very thin and curls. it also just looks bad alot.

THANK YOU!

Major HAir problems?!?

wow, you and i have the same problem. This is how to solve it:

all the product is damaging so lay off the stuff.

use a better shampoo to get rid of the oiliness...that can lead to weak, thin, bad hair. neutragena is good.

oh...I cant stand the weird curly thingy at the front. I have it too. I iron it out every morning.

for that blonde and dark thing you got there....try a temporary dye maybe.

Major HAir problems?!?

i would die your eyebrows.

maybe be careful about how much time you spend in the sun.

Major HAir problems?!?

you use way too many hair products, that's WATS ruining your hair! just use loreal kids swimming shampoo and conditioner. if your a guy don't use herbal essences that's weird, i am starting to thing this question is a joke because you use so many products! your brows r normal i no alot of people like that, it looks normal 2 me

Major HAir problems?!?

With as damaged as your hair is from swimming constantly, I wouldn't suggest dying your hair. To cut down on the chlorine damage you should either put conditioner in your hair before you swim or immediately rinse your hair out after you swim, oh and clarify your hair once a week.

Major HAir problems?!?

If you dye your hair, the chlorine might make some of your hair fall out. If you go to the salon they can recommend conditioner to use before swimming so it doesn't ruin hair after you are done swimming.

HOW DO I GET MY HAIR, like this?!?

Everytime I straighten my hair, yes it'll stay straight, but not shiny. I buy tresemme products but it still doesn't do anything. Do I need to buy an expensive hair straightener like Sedu or CHI for it to turn out like this:

http://www.blazyshow.com/news/inthenewsj...

Please answer. thanks in advance!

HOW DO I GET MY HAIR, like this?!?

It depends on your hair type. If you have a pretty straight hair, a 20$ flat iron will be enough. If you have curly/wavy hair then you'll need a better flat iron. Ever try some bees wax? Or maybe a hot oil treatment will help to make things shiny, coated and less damage. Remember to part in the middle after shower to get tht same look.

HOW DO I GET MY HAIR, like this?!?

buy some hair sheen

comes in a spray bottle

HOW DO I GET MY HAIR, like this?!?

put some goop in it

use paul mitchel "super skinny serum"

it works good.

HOW DO I GET MY HAIR, like this?!?

No you dont need to buy those expensive products.

CitreShine products work very well and isnt expensive. also Samy:So Shiny spray is good. Hope this helps.

HOW DO I GET MY HAIR, like this?!?

i use the babyliss straighteners and they work great on mine (they are 鎷?0) you could get them or use straightening balms or lotions you put on before straightening your hair they make your hair shiny

HOW DO I GET MY HAIR, like this?!?

I would reccomend using a shine serum like CitreShine, Joico Silk Result, or Bio Mega Gloss. I have used all three of these before and all of them work.

HOW DO I GET MY HAIR, like this?!?

There's this product I use and it work really good. It makes your hair look shiny and healthy. It's called PRAVANA. I bought it from Cut in beauty. It's in small gray container.

HOW DO I GET MY HAIR, like this?!?

grow out your hair, buy a flat iron and some shine serum

HOW DO I GET MY HAIR, like this?!?

i think u should buy a flat iron and iron it

after ur done just spray it with oil spray to keep its

luster

I got a problem with my straightener ?

well one plate of my hair straightener broke nd i still want 2 use it ....can i still use it even tho one plate is broken??? plzz I NEED an answer

I got a problem with my straightener ?

You can still use it but it won't straighten your hair very much.

I got a problem with my straightener ?

well yeah probably but your hair wont get as straight as you want to

I got a problem with my straightener ?

You can still use it but may have to keep turning it so that the hair is straight on both sides

I got a problem with my straightener ?

yes, u can still use it but it will take twice as long. just straighten it, the hair, and then flip ur straighteners sides and do that hair again.. that happened to me. but if i were u- id get a new straightener... it will work though

I got a problem with my straightener ?

yeah you should be able to just as long as you do use it as long... the plate might fall out after a while.... mine did that and i just watched how much i used it

I got a problem with my straightener ?

I suggest you not to use it 1st you'll fry your hair than it'll break off 2nd its not safe ..

I got a problem with my straightener ?

not sure soccergirl it may not work that good but just try it then you will know for sure if it still works or not

I got a problem with my straightener ?

um... i dunno, if it'll work that good,

but once during an EMERGENCY (date w/ the worlds sexiest guy fast appoaching while i had an AFRO type thing going/lost flat iron)...

i used a curling iron to like get the roots (like you know how if you're gonna curl your hair, you have to grab a section and then pull it down from the root to the tip before you wrap th e hair around it? well you that just don't make the actual curl... pull the iron from root to bottom like a flat iron make sure you keep the iron going the same way as you want your hair, don't crimp it with the edges...)

after that, your hair should be pretty kinda straight, but for like REALLY straight prefect flat iron fresh hair, do this next step...

then one of my friends helped me iron my hair with like a clothes iron... (someone needs to help you do this, lay your hair on the ironing board and then like iron it like clothes, just be CAERFUL not to leave it int he same spot too long, just like with a flat iron, it could burn your hair)

then i used the curling iron some more to fix the roots... it turned out good, he's my bf now.

A safe way to straighten hair?

i have really curly and frizzzy hair. is there a way taht i can get it pin straight without getting split ends. i use spray and it doesnt work. i have a wet to straight hair straightener. i dont want the chi cus it cost too much soo dont recomend that.

A safe way to straighten hair?

theres technically no "safe" heat, but heat protectant helps loads with preventing split ends. it also helps keep down frizz. also if you do a thorough job the first time you'll avoid doing frequent touch-ups that can actually fry your hair. also antifrizz products help to maintain/make hair appear straighter.

A safe way to straighten hair?

A lot of anti frizz helps from the salons. Ask your hairstylist what would work best. Then just section off hair and dry with round brush. The only other option would be the chi if that doesn't work :)

A safe way to straighten hair?

Put it on the lowest heat you need to straiten it. Then, use an ani-frizz treatment.

A safe way to straighten hair?

use this: its called - Zero Frizz

A safe way to straighten hair?

flat iron i have one and it cost alot of $
