My hair is long and straight?

i try n try to wave or curl it n it never works or stays! ive tried scrunching and curling irons n i just got a hair straightener and i tried using that and i suck!! what can i do?

and what other pretty ideas does any one have??

My hair is long and straight?

have you ever tried braiding it when its wet b4 u go to sleep then taking it out in the morning? It usually works.

My hair is long and straight?

I would kill for perfectly straight hair. My hair is wavy and I hate it! The grass is always greener, right? Try using curlers at night. And if the curls still fall out, just be happy with it!

My hair is long and straight?

Try keeping it in curls with hairspray.

My hair is long and straight?

buy those soft curlers and sleep in them. in the morning you just take them out and only brush the top of your hair otherwise you brush right through the curls. then use hairspray, not mousse. a great brand of hairspray is matrix hairspray. and for looser, messier curls, you separate each curl in two. it is a more casual, less shirley temple look.

then for waves, sleep in braids. (the number depending on how wavy you want your hair. i would probably recommend about eight or so) then you just take them out in the morning and just brush the top of your hair. you can use hairspray.

hope this helps 閳?Good luck閳?br>My hair is long and straight?

my hair is the exact same way.. the only thing that i've been able to do get waves when i french braid it.. this is what i do.

wash your hair, and while its wet put in a volumizing mousse.

then blowdry your hair upside down, and once it is almost dry (leave it a little damp) put your hair into either french braids or regular, i usually do 2 french braids.

then leave those in until your hair is completely dry

and then take the braids out, and spray your hair with hairspray. not a lot, just enough to hold some of the waves.

hope this helps!

My hair is long and straight?

Try the book Curly Girl by Lorraine Massey. It deals with working with the hair that you have ... all the way from dead straight to frizzy.

Straight is envied by many, and there are those want dreadlocks.

Work with your hair rather than fighting it.

Curly hair won't curl?

I have naturally very curly hair but after I straightened my hair with a hair straightener about 2 weeks it has not returned back to normal. It was only a one time straighten and now my hair is wavy and some parts are still straight. Is there anything I can do or should I just cut my hair?

Curly hair won't curl?

A very good idea would be to use a shampoo for curly hair...then add Volumizing mousse that adds volume and accentuates your natural curls when you get out of the shower....then scrunch up your hair with your fingers ..then use a diffuser. This should help...but keep doing this for a couple of days so your hair can get used to its natural curls. My friend had the same problem. I also told her to braid her hair in two braids when her hair was wet and sleep with it like that. It eventually worked too. You can cut your ends only, to get rid of the damage that way your hair is healthier and a lot more manageable... I hope it works for you !

Curly hair won't curl?

Sounds like you really fried your hair. Try doing a deep conditioning treatment once a week along with your normal washing routine. The added moisturizer should cause your curls to return. You can trim the damaged ends off, but you don't necessarily need to cut your hair short.

Curly hair won't curl?

You can try to cut maybe 1 or 2 inches off to give it more bounce for curls. Use some curling products for the first couple of days and then hopefully it will go back to its natural curls. =)

Curly hair won't curl?

I say you have just been straightening your hair too much, obviously haha. Make sure you are using a ceramic straightener like Chi, because that will not damage your hair as much. Also go to the store and get a shampoo and condition that is used made for people with curly hair and use that. Your hair will go back to being its pretty curly ways soon, just try not to straighten it for a couple of days and if you blow dry your hair, stop because that also damages your hair. If you want it be to curly right away you can always scrunch it get some aussie scrunching gel and just scrunch your hair right after you get out of the shower. Good luck. I am sure your pretty curls will be back in no time:).

Curly hair won't curl?

Curly hair has a mind of it's own and tends to be dry anyway. It sounds like you over processed your hair and fried it. First you need a good conditioner to try and bring it back. I gave up on trying to get mine to do what I wanted and found a good stylist who knows how to cut my hair. I also use something by Aveda called Be Curly. This cuts down on frizz and gives your curl some control.

If you want to your hair straight every now and then don't use a chemical process, just blow it dry straight and use a flat iron on it. It is much better for your hair.

I wish you luck.

I have really really thick and curly hair i need a cheap but good straightener that will work good?

i have really thick adn curly hair too

not to mention frizzy lol

i have tried a conair one inch thick iron thing it worked pretty good ..about 40 $

it didnt last for long though

and i had went throgh about 3 straighteners that didnt work long

so i went to the big times

i got me a nice straightener that cost about 110$

ive had it for about 7 months

the longest ive ever had one

and it works great

I have really really thick and curly hair i need a cheap but good straightener that will work good?

If you say your hair is thick AND curly there is really no such thing of a good AND cheap straightener...if I were you I would invest in a CHI or something in that price range (~$100-150) because a cheap one will not 1) last long (at all) and 2) not effectively straighten your hair. Hope this helps...but really...my friend has the same type of hair and she has been through sooo many straighteners because she tried to bargain shop...it's not worth it. Spend the money to get a quality one that will work amazing and will last. AND...a lot of the "decent" cheaper ones can actually ruin your hair. My hairdresser told me the white ceramic straighteners are the best!!

I have really really thick and curly hair i need a cheap but good straightener that will work good?

you really will get what you pay for with straighteners and needless to say the more expensive ones get hotter, straighten your hair quicker and more effectively and are more protective to your hair. cheaper ones which are not as hot will require you to keep going over and over the same section of hair to get it straight and this will cause lots of damage.

if you still insist on getting cheaper straighteners then, for the sake of your hair, get ceramic ones as they won't stick to your hair and damage it as much as metal ones.

and finally if you have thick, curly hair then embrace it. i have fine, very straight hair but lots of it and I have to spend hours in front of the mirror for the bouncy waves and curls all over the magazines at the moment. big bouncy hair is so 'IN' at the moment and a cut from a good stylist will help to bring out the best in your hair.

Chi hair dryer contains lead and smells like burnt hair?

I have purchased a pink chi hair dryer and the box said that it contained lead. Is that something that is not good to use if it contains lead? I seen on the other red and black ones they don't contain lead. Recently when I've been using my hair dryer it smells like burnt hair, anyone else have this problem? I was thinking about getting a hair straightener from Chi, but i'm not so sure now. I've looked into Solia brand, not sure if they are any good. I also seen that Chi only guarantees their products for 1 year, and someone said a lifetime, not sure which one? Thanks for your help!

Chi hair dryer contains lead and smells like burnt hair?

CHi Hairdryers are no better than any other hairdryer... however... their flat irons are one of the best on the market. The smell is because your hair is probably getting stuck in the back part of the dryer and then getting burned. I don't think it has anything to do with lead. Chi products other than the flat iron are not worth the price in my opinion =)

Don't shy away from their flat irons though... they are great!

Chi hair dryer contains lead and smells like burnt hair?

You shouldn't hold the hair dryer so close to your hair, then it won't burn!

Chi hair dryer contains lead and smells like burnt hair?

I just answered a question like this. Princess has a flat iron that is making her hair smell like it is burned. I don't know if her's is a Chi. I wouldn't think the lead could hurt you, you're not ingesting it.

Chi hair dryer contains lead and smells like burnt hair?

sweety,

a.thats YOUR hair burning

b.their straighteners are heaven

c.lead is just what it's made of, it doesn't like SHOOT lead into your hair

When i layered my hair earlier this year, the ends of my hair curled outward....?

even when i used the hair straightener it still curls outwards, am i using the hair straightener wrong? what product/item can i use to straighten the ends of hair?

When i layered my hair earlier this year, the ends of my hair curled outward....?

no no no your not holding the straightner wrong its all natural. a couple months ago i had cut my hair to layers to but the end fliped out and tried making them straight but it wouldnt work but something you could try is just getting your hair just a little damp before straighting and try leaving the straightner a longer period of time where it flipps out, then if it is still notstriaght enough put hair spray or gel to hold it in... good luck!!!!!!

When i layered my hair earlier this year, the ends of my hair curled outward....?

after you straighten it, take a curling iron to the ends of your hair and curl them under, use some hairspray if you need to, it should be pretty easy

When i layered my hair earlier this year, the ends of my hair curled outward....?

The only thing you're probably doing wrong is you're not holding the straightner long enough at the bottom of your hair while you're curling it. or you can use a hair curler......just for the end.

How do i clean my hair straighteners?

they are remington wet 2 straights

http://www.comparestoreprices.co.uk/imag...

they are ceramic plated

thanks

How do i clean my hair straighteners?

There are iron cleaing sprays but I have only seen them at my local beauty supply. Try using rubbing alcohol and a cloth. Make sure the cloth is well saturated but not soaked. Bunch up the cloth so there several layers between it and the plates, and with the iron on, rub hard on the plates. Be careful not to burn yourself. Hope this helps!!

How do i clean my hair straighteners?

they make special sprays/cleansers for straightener cleaning

(not sure of any names)

How do i clean my hair straighteners?

y is ur hairstraightner dirty its supost to go in ur hair not in the mud

How do i clean my hair straighteners?

Use some rubbing alcohol on the plates.

Use just a dab on a cotton ball and it will take off the layers of stuff thats sitting on your plates.

How do i clean my hair straighteners?

you could spray hair sheen on them while there on and wipe them off with a towel ...

How do i clean my hair straighteners?

Just plain old rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth will remove product build up. It's best to clean them frequently rather than let products build up on them.

How do i clean my hair straighteners?

Use Windex, or any cleaner that is meant to clean glass. Just take a dry cloth and spray windex lightly on the straightener, and wipe while the straightener is off. You will actually see grease and dust on the cloth when your done, you won't believe how dirty straighteners actually get.. By the way, I have the same straightener and this method works so properly and perfectly.

Hope I helped! :)

How do i clean my hair straighteners?

To take off the gross calcium buildup and dirt left over from hair products you should just use rubbing alchohal or nail polish remover. Trust me it comes off very easily.

How do you keep very curly hair stick straight in very high humidity?

i live in hawaii and its usually in between 60-80% humidity.

i have a really good pro tools hair straightener, and good products, but no matter how hard i try after a few hours my hair reverts to wavy, and then curly. what can i do to keep my style going? is it maybe the way im using my products? also my hair is color treated and is on the verge of fried.. i cant straight perm it at the moment because of this.

How do you keep very curly hair stick straight in very high humidity?

Get Aussie Anti-Humidity hairspray. Comb through your hair as you spray it in, cause hair has a tendency to tangle a bit when you use hairspray. Or buy Loreal's Heat-Activated Straightening Cream, it's in a pink bottle. Apply it BEFORE you flat-iron, and spritz lightly with Anti-Humidity hairspray after you're done. I think you should lay off on the flat iron, though. My hair is colored and was pretty fried, but when I stopped straightening for about three months (it's summer), and conditioned everyday, my hair is in the best shape ever. Just my opinion, hope this helps.

How do you keep very curly hair stick straight in very high humidity?

Well, i don't know what products you are using but you should try the hair salon straightening stuff. I don't know the proper name, but there is this stuff you can get to stop the humidity from getting to your hair. It is just a spray on stuff that you spray on before you straighten it then after you have straightened it. Good Luck!!

Okay, so say i have a hair emergency...?

tomorrow morning, say i have an emergency, like my hair just looks REALLY bad (because i'm trying to wave it) and i HATE it to death...how do i hide it? my hair is down past my shoulders and layered, but it's sooo heavy that up-do's just don't cooperate at all. but i do have a hair straightener, if that would help?

Okay, so say i have a hair emergency...?

if you dont have a lot of time, heat up that straightener, but only straighten the very top and very bottom layer of your hair, so when you pull it up into a ponytail or something, all you can see is nice smooth hair, while all the ugly waves are hidden inside.

Okay, so say i have a hair emergency...?

Straighten it

Okay, so say i have a hair emergency...?

Straighten it and put it into a pony tail, or half ponytail till you can get it fixed by your stylist.

Okay, so say i have a hair emergency...?

don't use a hair straightener.. it will make your hair so dry!

Okay, so say i have a hair emergency...?

staighten it...then put it in a low pony tail at the base of your head (by your neck) or dont straighten it and put it in a pony. low pony's are really chic and in style so thats what i would suggest

Okay, so say i have a hair emergency...?

My love has hair problems. God told me she had a hair phobia, in that she wanted it curly or wavy. I said i was the same. I hope she has not dyed it.

Okay, so say i have a hair emergency...?

condition your hair and then put it up into a half ponytail

Okay, so say i have a hair emergency...?

If it looks really bad, and you don't have time to straighten your whole head of hair, what you can do is put it in 2 braids. Or you can straighten the top of your hair, put it in a pony tail, and then just flatten the pony tail with your flatiron so it looks cute. And if your mom is up in the morning and knows how to french braid, you could have her do that! and then just wear a cute accessory like a headband, with some cute earrings so people don't pay so much attention to your hair. =) hope this helps!

Okay, so say i have a hair emergency...?

i have the thickest hair in my skool, so i no how ya feel. jus try a low ponytail at the base of your neck. if you straiten it, it will take 4 ever. takes me 2 hrs, but i do it every day.but dont do it as much as me. it will literally no joke ruin ur hair. it will be so fried. if u straiten it make sure you condition it like crazy. but straitening is a good option. juss be coatious.

Okay, so say i have a hair emergency...?

it will e less noticable if it curly up or down but down is less noticable

Okay, so say i have a hair emergency...?

Just cut it off, problem solved.

Okay, so say i have a hair emergency...?

my hair is like that 2 i just straiten it every day.

Okay, so say i have a hair emergency...?

Dye your hair red and give it pigtails. Now everone will think your in those Wendy's burger commercials.

Hair Straighteners.....?

I need a new hair straighener because mine gives me such bad split ends! Does anyone know a good one?

Hair Straighteners.....?

Conair at Walgreens or Sally

Its afforrdable and works well

Hair Straighteners.....?

chi straightener

Hair Straighteners.....?

you should use a chi and some serum so you dont damage your hair [try redken]

=]

Hair Straighteners.....?

chi, is like the best straightner! also make sure its cermaic because that is most important. chi is really great

Hair Straighteners.....?

Well 1st of all dont use hair straighteners too often my friend did now she's stopped using them fior a year and her air still won't get back to being the way it was o reall it just ruins your ahir but if you really want to use them for formal occsions that fine as long as you buy special serum to protect your hair from beign damaged and probably buy a special shampoo ( aussie shampoo is amazing) so is pantene pro-v then for hair straighteners if you realy want to splurdge out I would buy GHD'S but i think they are only sold in UK but you can check them out but I have Babyliss and the ones for 40 pounds (80 dollars) are really good but don't buy the ones that are wireless they aren't really good ppl are just trying to make hair straighteners better but wireless makes it worse (my one burned my hair cause its just tooo hot and thhe hair straigheners don't glide well on your hair) also if you still won't find the right hair straighteners or the oens i mentioned then just buy a hair straightener that's a good price which is like 80 dollars to 120 ( 40 pounds to 60 ) then buy those also buy hair straighteners that are buy a trusted brand like babyliss and also buy some which have gold or silver plate things the things that get heated that seems expensive but most hair straighteners will say if they have them or not if you buy them they won't hurt your fingers sooo much if your burn them and glid well on hair and don't burn your hair easily and as mi said before they come in hair straighteners that are 80 dollars to 120 but if you stilla ren'thappy with these and you use your hair straighteers really often then buy expensive ones because its better to splurdge on them because then they will not damamge yor hair as much and you will be grateful they will prbably also have a longer warranty on them ! And also you can just use blow dryer which is good too ! Hope I helped LIZZIE XXXX

Hair Straighteners & Highlights (Male)?

Hello everyone.

http://img219.imageshack.us/img219/7987/...

That's my hair currently (sorry, i look like i'm pouting) I straighten it with a pair of 鎷?0 irons which aren't great. I'm thinking of investing in some GHD's but i'm not sure which ones, the mini ones or the regular size ones?

Also, i'm thinking of getting some highlights or maybe a new colour all together. Blacks a bit emo looking and i think i'm too pale for it to be bleached so maybe a few blonde highlights, where do you all think would look best?

Any other tips ect i'd love to hear!

Thank you for reading, and even more thanks for answering.

Hair Straighteners %26amp; Highlights (Male)?

You'd look amazing if it was a touch longer, you bleached it, and a few black/brown streaks? Or an unnatural colour for the streaks.- if it's longer, fluff it a little. awesomee.

andd, go for mini for short hair. longer=more damage, and it's harder to control. always go with mini.

anyway.

you're really cute.

hope it helped. :3

Hair Straighteners %26amp; Highlights (Male)?

you should get the mini sized because they allow you to have more control and you can get closer tot he scalp, and i think you should put some choppy chunky highlights i your hair, i agree that going too light would eb disasterous and black is too dark, try a honey or toasted color, that way you have the highlights but you arent going blonde...

Hair Straighteners %26amp; Highlights (Male)?

i think you should go a bit darker and put some light brown and blonde highlights in it.

and go for the mini. it's better for your hair.

oh yea..and i think you're pretty cute :)

What hair product is good for making hair stay straight after using hair straighteners?

i dont mind if the product is used for black or white hair

thanks

What hair product is good for making hair stay straight after using hair straighteners?

Bed Head Control Freak makes your hair flat as a board!

You use it before you straighten and blow dry, and makes your hair very straight.

What hair product is good for making hair stay straight after using hair straighteners?

Hair straightening help needed!!!?

okay so...i got a new hair straightener...works amazingly well... but i have trouble with the back of my head...can anyone give me ideas as to how i can make it super straight...cuz its usually left with alot of volume just in the back....thanks

Hair straightening help needed!!!?

i consider myself to be the hair straightening expert. I dont even use a mirror anymore. I use ghds and i think that they are the best brand.

Firstly section your hair. Use hair sectioners or just use a band and tie your hair at the top of your head, and just let it out section by section.

Use a comb- makesure its not a wide toothed one. Run it along your hair whilst you straighten, not after you put the straighteners on your hair as this will make your hair static. Comb through your hair, and for every swipe you take, run your hair straighteners down your hair simultaneously. This way you'll have the smoothest, straightest hair.

Then bring down another section and do the same. As you're doing this with the next section the lower section will also be making contact with your straightener again, ensuring that its perfectly straight.

Sorry, i didnt word it very well, but i hop eyou know what i mean.

Hair straightening help needed!!!?

best hair straightner is the maxi glide!!! works best with all types of hair. leaves it soft and healthy looking

Hair straightening help needed!!!?

It looks alot better if you have a friend help you with straightening the back. As for the wet2dry thing I'm pretty sure you can use it on dry hair but if you still have the instruction booklet i would highly recommend reading that,

Hair straightening help needed!!!?

i have sratight hair so i don't use a straightener but if i were you i would get my mom or sibling to help.

Hair straightening help needed!!!?

I HAD that same problem but I have a vanity and a closet door with a mirror on it and i put them by each other so that I could see the back of my head. It works really well.

Hair straightening help needed!!!?

i dont recommend the wet2dry straightener. it tends to make your hair thin and very lack-luster. to get the back of your hair straight, try puting a large section of hair in a pony tail. that way, you can focus on a smaller portion of hair and you can get it really straight that way. hope i helped

Hair straightening help needed!!!?

I use a CHI straightener they are the best, I put hair up half way and straighten it by sections then when you are done do the back in sections start from the top of your head and then as you go just flip the section that you straightened in front of your face and work your way half way down as far as your arms let you and repeat this. Hope it works for you it works for me

Hair straightening help needed!!!?

My best friend is a pro hairdresser. What really helps with hair straightening (and also protects your hair) is heat protectant spray........ it helps majorly!!!!! OK, to help with your problem........ if you are really devoted to your hair, buy the best hair straightener you can. CHI is the bomb! it may take a bite out of your wallet but its worth it. CHI straighteners get hotter as you squeeze it harder so be sure to use CHI protectant spray. You can get the products on line or at your hairdressers salon. To straighten the back of your hair, either sit in a chair with a mirror in front of you and look behind you into another mirror or pull your hair around your shoulder and straighten your hair. My last suggestion is that you get a haircut which lowers the volume in the back of your head. Actually, if it is pulling out your hair, your hair is very unhealthy and you need to see your hairdresser. This may sound a little gross........... But when it is straight and stiff then that means you are burning your hair........ YOU NEED HAIR PROTECTANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no problem!

Hair straightening help needed!!!?

Straighten your hair in sections. First get all of you hair except the bottom layer %26amp; put it on top of your head %26amp; secure it with a clip. Then after that let that all fall down %26amp; get another layer about 1-2 inches thick. After you are done get another mirror %26amp; look at the back of your head %26amp; see if you missed any hair. I can do mine in about 4 layers %26amp; its done in about 20 min %26amp; My hair is super straight! I hope that this helps! Good Luck:)

Haitr straightener HELPP?

FAROUK CHI TURBO BIG 2" CERAMIC HAIR STRAIGHTENER IRON what do you think of this straightener?

http://www.neofill.com/nf_B0009V1YS2.htm...

Haitr straightener HELPP?

Those are the BEST. They work so good. Its great for long term use and its totally reliable because it takes like 15 minutes to straighten!! Buy it, =D

Haitr straightener HELPP?

Yeah I think thats a good deal. And plis CHI's work great they are like the top of the line.

Haitr straightener HELPP?

that's a nice iron...mine's a gold plated but i really like wet to straight better

Haitr straightener HELPP?

Hmmm...it sounds legit but I like to recommend a product. Its a straightener called HerStyler and it has been a god-send for me and my hair. Check it out:

-Solid ceramic plates guarantee smooth straightening motion without pulling or breakage of hair.

-Hair becomes up to 3 times smoother and silkier than when using an ordinary ceramic iron.

-True ceramic plates generate 6 times more negative ion than regular ceramic iron.

-Cut your hair straightening time in half thanks to high concentration of negative ions.

Want to know more? Check out the site. I admit it was expensive but its so worth it! I own one and testify! Plus, they come in many different colors as well.

Haitr straightener HELPP?

i bought a wet/dry straighter at walmart for $25 and it works just fine. dont waste your money. if you have so much money you just like wasting it email me.

Ok...is there anything really important that i need to know about this straightener?

well i just bought a wet 2 straight remmington hair straightener. Is there anything that i should know about it before i use it?

Ok...is there anything really important that i need to know about this straightener?

I have had mine for 2 years and it still works great!! you should be glad you bought it. the only thing i can advise you on is to mostly use it on your hair dry. when its wet and you straigten it, your hair easily gets frizzy and poofy. my friend got one and it does the same to her. but depending on your hair it will differ. i have to use it on the highest setting, but it says not to unless your hair is wet, but on the low setting it doesnt work. best straigtener i have ever had. hope it works out for you!!

Ok...is there anything really important that i need to know about this straightener?

Nope - pretty easy. I usually dry my hair a little because I have thick and curly hair - then I use my straightener. Just make sure to separate your hair into smaller sections and don't worry about the sound the iron makes - it's supposed to...it's like a steam iron - but it's supposed to do that because you're hair is wet.

Have fun!

Ok...is there anything really important that i need to know about this straightener?

i have that one. be areful it steams when your hairs wet. and if you do straighten it when its wet dry it off when you unplug it or it will become rusty. and if your hair is thick keep it on 29 or 30 all the time. i dont follow the color code

Ok...is there anything really important that i need to know about this straightener?

take it back!!!!!!!!!

that thing will absolutely fry your hair over time.

straighteners are bad enough (i have curly hair that's how i know and I'm a hair stylist) but to try to dry AND straighten your hair is sooo damaging to it, it's unreal. You will have more split ends by using that thing. try just putting your hair up in rollers overnight, and then straightening it in the morning. it will dry on it's own, and then you won't damage your hair half as much. Plus if you don't slide the straightener all the way down, you can have nice hollywood curls at the base of your hair.

Ok...is there anything really important that i need to know about this straightener?

What are the very expensive and good, hair straighteners? or which one do u like.?

I know the expensive ones are good. $about $130+

Im only 13 but i straighten my hair every day and it doesnt stay straight all the time. What are some good expensive brand ones that keep your hair straight for a few days. The profesional ones.

What do u use and how long does it keep your hair straight. I have fairly thin hair and a bit past the middle of my back.

What are the very expensive and good, hair straighteners? or which one do u like.?

i think the chi iron is the best one

What are the very expensive and good, hair straighteners? or which one do u like.?

Use a Sedu Staightener.

What are the very expensive and good, hair straighteners? or which one do u like.?

ummm you could try the maxi glide, its made for thick hair but it works great!

%26lt;3

What are the very expensive and good, hair straighteners? or which one do u like.?

I use a chi and my hair will stay straight until I wash my hair, but if your getting a chi I strongly suggest that you get a heat protector as well so you do not fry your hair, I suggest Matrix Sleek Look Iron Smoother it also helps when there is moisture and humidity in the hair so your hair will not frizz out! eBay is a great place to find these items cheaper then you would at a profession hair salon chi can go for over a 100 on there and you can find some on eBay brand new for around 80-90 sometimes cheaper if you are lucky! good luck!

What are the very expensive and good, hair straighteners? or which one do u like.?

go to a hair salon, they have nice straightners.

What are the very expensive and good, hair straighteners? or which one do u like.?

The Chi Irons are great. Have you considered thermal permanent straightening? It is expensive, but a lot less damaging to your hair in the long-term. Also, I have used an actual perm (like the kind to make your hair curly) except I combed my hair straight for the development time. It is somewhat damaging (depending on the brand), but if you use a hot-oil treatment weekly, your hair will be fine. Condition, condition, condition! My hair is almost as long as yours, and I can not use enough conditioner, but my hair looks (pretty) good!

What are the very expensive and good, hair straighteners? or which one do u like.?

I strongly suggest a Chi hair straightener. It works the best! I have had mine for years and i love it. They used to retail for way over $100 sometimes $200 but you can buy them a lot cheaper now =) check ebay but if you buy one off of there make SURE the straightner says CHI on it.

What are the very expensive and good, hair straighteners? or which one do u like.?

I love my Solia flat iron. It works just as good (if not better) than the Chi, and it cost less too. I bought mine from here: http://www.folica.com/Solia_Pink_Limi_d2... and paid $85. I have very thick, naturally frizzy frizzy FRIZZY hair (it's not really curly or wavy, there's just a ton of frizz when I don't straighten). Although I use this iron almost every day(I have an addiction.. I admit it!), I could skip a day and my hair still looks great. You can even use this iron if you're hair is slightly damp (NOT wet, though).

You should check out some of the before and after pics on the site. AMAZING. And if you buy the pink iron, $8 goes toward breast cancer. It's just a great iron; I was using a fake ceramic flat iron before I got this and I can tell such a difference.

What are the very expensive and good, hair straighteners? or which one do u like.?

CHI gurl

ever since i got mine i'm in LOVe with it

deffinitely

recommend u to buy one now!

GHD seem to be in a class of their own as far as hair is concerned, but not very reliable electrically. What about Farouk CHI? has anyone tried both please?

My hair won't take relaxers? Why?

Everytime I get a relaxer or hair straightener, as soon as I wash my hair (one-three days later), it goes RIGHT BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS. Isn't that the weirdest thing?! My mom relaxed my hair a week and a half ago. A few days later my hair is back to normal. I can tell the difference because when I get a relaxer, my hair is wavy (for a few hours or a day) and it's kind of stuck to my head. Then it starts curling up again and the strands stand away from my hair. It feels like I'm wasting my money! The salons can't do it, my mom can't do it, so should I just leave it alone?

My hair won't take relaxers? Why?

umm, if you wash your hair it will not remain completely straight, relaxed or not. This is not how relaxers work! You will still have to either roller set or flat iron your hair..........

Why are you washing your hair so soon after a relaxer?

My hair won't take relaxers? Why?

Maybe... ''YOUR'' too tensed up...

I mean with the holiday's and all !!! Who ''CAN'' relax??

My hair won't take relaxers? Why?

Well...like the previous guy said...after you get a relaxer...you still have to straighten the hair. That's everybody, it's ok. But...make sure that you are using the right relaxer for your hair...every relaxer is not for everybody. You may need something stronger. Try to get Dark and Lovely. There's reg. mild or course. And try a Gold N' Hot straightener. They get hotter and get the job done. Good Luck.

My hair won't take relaxers? Why?

I think you should leave it alone. Perhaps you should try something else like plaiting.

My hair won't take relaxers? Why?

Go to a salon and have it professionally done with professional relaxer system, and there are sensitive scalp formulas, they are all I use at my salon. And trust me, if professionally done, ur hair will become straight. And dont go to a salon where they use box perms from Walmart of the hair mart. U need to find a professional salon that uses Affirm or Dudley or Mizani, and after relaxer heat of some source, whether blow dry and flat iron or roller wrap, should be done for added sheen and silkiness of the hair. But just shampooing at home and air drying is going to still frizz........

Need some styling tips for semi-waving hair!!?

I have semi-waving hair and i use my hair straightener a lot but i get a lot of split ends using it so i wanted to stop using my straightener so much. I have three long layers in my hair and the top two layers are waving and my longer layer is straight if i let my hair air dry. My question is does anyone know any good techniques i can use to create nice curls or waves without using any heating products(i.e. curling irons, straighteners, etc.)???

Need some styling tips for semi-waving hair!!?

What looks great is when you get out of the shower towel dry your hair, and brush iit out. Then put your hair in about 3 braids. Use more braids for smaller wavys and less braids for bigger waves. Then sleep with your hair in the braids, then in the morning take your hair out of the braids. But, DO NOT brush it out or it will be frizzy. Just shake the waves a little bit then add some hair spray and ta daaa=]

Need some styling tips for semi-waving hair!!?

try plaiting ur hair the night before so you get nice waves the next morning, or try using velcro rollers ? but not sure u might need to use the hairdryer... and u could try twisting ur hair in a bun, then wait for a bit then take it out and mist a bit of hairspray on it... oh yeah u might wanna put some mousse or curling cream on it... if uve got wavy hair, you could put curling cream/gel on ur hair, then use a diffuser to dry ur hair...

u could also try twisting ur hair into "ropes"and then leaving to dry?

Straitening Hair?

I have chemically straitened hair, my hair is naturally thick, somewhat healthy, and very very strong. The dark side of this is that my natural hair is growing out and it's very curly, at this point all it is doing is adding volume (which I absolutely hate) and on days I want perfectly straight hair I have to go and straighten almost every piece to reduce volume, (and this takes about 2.5 hours with a bunch of products, a ceramic hair straightener, a brush, and a blow dryer) I have short lower jaw lengthened hair, this makes straitening the back a challenge (also, getting it cut or thinned is not an option, I very recently got that done).

So I am looking for a product that can help me get something that looks like this:

http://i13.tinypic.com/2uh4vhj.gif

To go as close as it can to this (and shorten the process):

http://i16.tinypic.com/4cnm05j.jpg

Any suggestions?

Straitening Hair?

Use pantene smooth and sleek or pantene extra liso. use fantasia frizz buster. mabye get a new iron like FHI or Paul Mitchell. Also ask a black salon they should help you.

Straitening Hair?

Go to the salon and tell them your problem. They'll probably give you a product to help and show you how to do your hair like that better. And maybe straigten your hair so it stays like that for a while.

T3 Tourmaline wet-dry hair straighteners?

Ok.I have a curly/wavy a little frizz type hair, and i want to get my hair straightened for a long long time. My plan was to go to a Japanese salon and straighten my hair there, but then i found these: http://www.t3micro.com/store/index.php?m...

http://www.t3micro.com/store/index.php?m...

there pretty expensive, so i want some help here..if anyone ever used these, does the hair stay straight for the whole day in any condition, and..

should i get one of these or go get my hair done at a japanese salon?

T3 Tourmaline wet-dry hair straighteners?

Sedu is much better than T3.

What are some good Hair straighteners?

I need a new one and I have thick hair. Can you suggest a brand? Any idea of the price? Thanks.

What are some good Hair straighteners?

GHD are the best one in town and dont burn your hair there dear though around 150 euro but well worth it trust me!plus u can do curls and flicks wit the GHD

What are some good Hair straighteners?

I recommend HotTools Flat Iron(price range $25-$80) or CHI Flat Iron ($90-$200+)

What are some good Hair straighteners?

BABYLISS PRO .. costs abt $100 but well worth it , ive also heard abt CHIs but cant speak from experience there and it also costs abt $100-$150 =0)

What are some good Hair straighteners?

Rusk Str8 1" curved flat iron

It has ceramic plates and an accurate temperature control. It gets your hair pin straight. It cost between 130 to 150 US.

Check with your local hairdresser's or find a local hair equipement supplier.

http://www.haircarechoices.com/item_1+Pr...

What are some good Hair straighteners?

PLEASE go to a salon and have it professionally done! We use matrix opti-smooth and paul brown straighting boards and charge about $100 but it's staright and beautiful when done

What are some good Hair straighteners?

the crystalized one cos t anout 30 dollars i believe

What are some good Hair straighteners?

Hi this is George Bitar,

I like products from Pantene.

Thanks,

George Bitar

What are some good Hair straighteners?

I personlly believe the CHI and all the ceramic flat irons are over-rated and way over-priced. I've used my Hot Tools flat iron for years. It works great and you can't beat the price.

How do you keep yerr hair straight at night?

like i'll take a shower, blowdry my hair, and go to sleep with it decently straight. and by the time i wake up, it's flipped all over the place. %26gt;.%26lt;

and i don't have a hair straightener so i can't just straighten it.

so how do i keep my hair straight when i sleep?!

argh.

How do you keep yerr hair straight at night?

You really can't do much about it, since your hair only gets crazy when you sleep on it and sleeping on your hair's unavoidable.

I'd consider buying a straightener and just using it in the morning to go over what you did the night before.

How do you keep yerr hair straight at night?

wash your hair in the morning.

How do you keep yerr hair straight at night?

thats kinda impossible since you dont have a straighner wake up earlier and take your shower then and straighten but what i suggessed you go out and buy a straightner mine is infiniti by conair and gets up to like about 400 degrees and is only like $40!!!!

How do you keep yerr hair straight at night?

How about you wrapping it in a scarf...to keep it in one place.

How do you keep yerr hair straight at night?

you should dry it and make shure that is completely dry. and then braid it. if you are just sleeping and your hairs not wet, it will not get wavy it will keep it straight.

How do you keep yerr hair straight at night?

I got the same prob. But this is what i do, after you get out of the shower you shouldn't brush your hair when it is wet because that is when it is the weakest and comes out the eaysest.

1.Get out of shower

2.Jerk your hair back and forth to get you hair seperate

3.Wait till your hair is damp(more to the dry side)

4.Brush it(The best brush is with a bristle brush)

Then let it dry completely

5.Brush it into a high pont tail.

6.Then sleep.

7.Then when you take it down youbrush it again(it might be a lil poofy)

8.Add a bit of water to it brush it and your done.

Hint:dont use a blowdryer let it gry naturally.=]=]=]=]=]

How do you keep yerr hair straight at night?

The first thing you need to do is get a straightner.

I use the Remington Wet 2 Straight straightner ($26). Ill take a shower at night, straighten it while its wet, and when i get up in the morning its still pretty straight. I just go over it quick to fix spots.

But without a straightner theres really nothing you can do.

Good quality Hair Straitener?

My hair isn't even that wavy, not to mention curly, but at the bottom it's just really poofy and frizzy and I hate it. I have a hair straitener and it's a Revlon, and it works for the first five mintues, but then after just an hour or even less my hair goes back to being the same, and my hair striaghtener didn't even straiten it that well in the first place. Well, I'm just asking what is a really really good wuality hair straightener that WORKS? I have a lot of people in my grade that have extremely curly hair and they manage to make it stick straight, and I have barely wavy hair, and mine can't even do that? Help :-/

Good quality Hair Straitener?

try getting a straightener with a built-in brush. thats mine, i have super thick and wavy hair, and i just get the CVS brand and it works like magic.

Good quality Hair Straitener?

the remmington wet2straight works really good :] its about 31$. take in note that im a redhead :/

Good quality Hair Straitener?

distilled water works well too.

Good quality Hair Straitener?

chi straighteners are the best. i have one. it is so amazing.

Good quality Hair Straitener?

GHD straighteners are really good! :)

Good quality Hair Straitener?

well i don't know how much money you want to spend but chi's are very good. you can try looking on ebay for a less expensive one

Good quality Hair Straitener?

Use a thermal spray that not only protects you hair from exterme heat but it will also help your hair stay straight. If your ends are frizzy that is usually a sign that they are in bad shpe keep them trimmed. Hot Tools has really good ceramic irons, and so does Chi

Good quality Hair Straitener?

Okay first off.... stay away from the cheap stuff like Revlon or conair... It dosent work. You should try something more along the lines of a ceramic series, by Helen of Troy. I paid about 40$. But Im about to upgrade to an FHI or a CHI because those are used in salons and work great!

Good quality Hair Straitener?

WIGO CERAMIC WORKS REELY WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good quality Hair Straitener?

If you're willing to spend money for THE perfect hair straightener , try Chi straighteners. They are top-of-the-line and you can get one for around $100. I would recomend this because its a one time payment and it lasts longer. It's better than buying straighteners over and over again because the past ones are horrible or broken. It's quite powerful- the straight hair lasts much much longer than any other. However, since you said your hair is fairly straight already you could try Conair's Infiniti for $35 at Costco. This is what I use now and it's worth the money. (http://www.conair-store.com/product_deta...

Make sure to use a spray or gel that protects your hair from the heat.

Good quality Hair Straitener?

I have a curlmaster ceramic and it works great,I got it for about 50$, and maybe use a product in your hair be for straightening it that will help with frizz.

Good quality Hair Straitener?

Okay, if you're going to invest in a straightener, make sure it's good quality. Cheap straighteners can damage your hair. Buying from a salon or beauty outlet is best.. try to make sure it goes past 200 degrees as well.

Chi and Baybliss make very good straighteners.

You also may want to use some kind of heat protection, you can find it at any pharmacy, walmart, wherever.

Joico, Citre Shine, AG, Pantene etc. smoothing lotions or liquid varnish works WONDERS on poofyness or frizzies, you should check it out.

Hope that helps%26lt;3

Good quality Hair Straitener?

Andis works pretty well, i own one and my hair, from what i've red, sonds like yours a bit. I found mine at walmart for aroun $15 to $25

Good quality Hair Straitener?

ghd OR FHI

those are amazinggggg

Too bad they are like a BAJiLLi0N DOLLARS THOUGH!

Straight hair help please? first time straightening??

have very fine(thin) dark brown wavy hair.and theyre just 2 inches past my shoulder.they're thin and a bit dry.

i wanted them straight so i got this hair straightener. its satinliner from braun.

i've used it only on my front hair and it seemed to work well.

but i read in a few places that we're supposed to use a hair styling and protecting cream before straightening it.

1.)so, which one should i use?

the options i have are- sunsilk, pantene, vo5(styling and nourishing), and garnier fructis.

2.)also, whats better-leave in conditioner(does it protect hair)? or the creams?

3.)what do u put in ur hair to help in straightening and protecting it?

Straight hair help please? first time straightening??

I've never used products when straightening my hair, but Garnier and VO5 are pretty good hair care lines. And as the creams or leave-in conditioners go, I'd go with the leave-in conditioner because there's more nutrients and things than there is in the creams. The creams are just quick fixes if you need it.

Hope this helps =]

Straight hair help please? first time straightening??

ive been straightening my hair for a wile and havnt used and products and my hair is fine..

Straight hair help please? first time straightening??

I use the V05 miracle mist and it conditions and protects my hair and it makes the style last longer. I love it! I dont really use leave-in conditioner but its suppossed to help with dry hair. The creams will help too. I use the sunsilk straightening products.

Straight hair help please? first time straightening??

I straighten every day (or every other day) and the best ive found is Matrix Sleek Look (big orange bottles). They make shampoo, conditioner, heat-protection creams and sprays, water-free hairspray, etc. Its pretty expensive but it works the best. It definately keeps my hair soft and healthy and straight all day long. Look into it, its definately worth it.

Straight hair help please? first time straightening??

1. Use Herbal essences. it is in a purple bottle, I always use it.

2. Use Dove hair stuff. There is a blue bottle that restores your hair after using heat. There is also Dove shampoo and conditioner for that. The blue bottle is a weightless spray and it is not hairspray!

3 All of the things I mentioned.

Straight hair help please? first time straightening??

ive been straightening my hair for 3 years and i have a CHI iron. I have very thick hair, but to protect it i use a wax. the brand is called Artec Kiwi Products and you can get them in salons and online. There not just for colored hair, like they say so its ok to use. Get the wax. Its about $12 and it works WONDERS!!!

Straight hair help please? first time straightening??

Well... I straigthen my hair everyday!!

First I would by a straightening shampoo and conditioner the protects your ends. I use Garnier Fructis Long and Strong (the blue one), then after I wash it I put in a pomade, also by Garnier Fructis in the Long and Strong collection. Then I just blow dry as usual. After blowdrying I straighten my hair. The straightener you got sounds perfect! The secret is to straighten in layers and small sections. I have thick hair so I straighten my hair in four layers. Starting with the bottom layer, and straightening 2 inch sections at a time! (this sounds like it would take a while, but you get pretty fast at it. It only takes me 5 minutes to straighten all of my hair now!)

Then, once a month I use a deep conditioner in the shower, I bought it at a beauty supply store. You use it in the shower, leave it in for five minutes and then rinse it out, so it is not a leave in conditioner!!

Oh, and be sure to get regular trims... once every three months, this will help to keep your ends looking healthy!

Well.. that is it! It has worked for me for many years now!!

Straight hair help please? first time straightening??

I havent used any of the new heat shielding sprays. But for a leave in conditioner I use Thermasilk because it acts as both a conditioner and its heat activated. My hair is reallly curly so I usually have to blowdry it first and each piece that I have to do I spray Thermasilk on it. But other than that I dont use anything in my hair because it weighs it down or makes it greasy.

Straight hair help please? first time straightening??

Well I think you should use a hair mouisterizer and a leave in condtioner and maybe somthing that protects you hair from heat you can talk to a hair dresser and they can give you some things thats what I did and I have beautiful long strait hair

Straight hair help please? first time straightening??

i have been straightening my hair for a whgile and i use no products and its great

Straight hair help please? first time straightening??

well i have been straightening my hair for a while and my hair seems to be fine but sometimes i use fructis leave in conditioner cream or beyond zone heat protection spray

Something Is Wrong With My Hair! Its NOT Normal?

im a guy and i have long hair and its long down to my shoulders. but the problem is that on the top of my head, my hair is straight and oily, and as you follow my hair down my head on the side, the hair is all squigly or crooked. what can i do besides use a hair straightener to straighten out my hair? i want it to be straight. when i pull out a pluck of hair off my head, it doesnt look like this _________ it looks more like this _____-^--^__--^---_- like crooked like if you know what i mean. i use head and shoulders dandruff control. and its doesnt work. is there any solution to this? by the way, i do wash my hair everyday.

please dont give me links to other websites for me to read.

also please dont copy and paste.

and for you smart mouths, im already washing my hair and possibly doing anything i know what to do to my hair.

Something Is Wrong With My Hair! Its NOT Normal?

Has your hair always been like that? If so, it's completely natural.

Get a hair relaxer, if you really care.

If it's only recently become squiggly, the most like cause is dryness, or heat damage from blowdrying or straightening. Just use a strengthening shampoo and conditioner, and get your hair trimmed. That should fix it.

Hope this helps!

Something Is Wrong With My Hair! Its NOT Normal?

well i thionk the only way 2 straighten unless its naturally straight..is 2 use an iron and a straightening serum..unless u get it chemically relaxed but noone really dsoe sthat....idk

Something Is Wrong With My Hair! Its NOT Normal?

um try getting a perm to keep it str8. there are perms for guys u kno.

Something Is Wrong With My Hair! Its NOT Normal?

try a smoothing straighening milk (garnier fructis)

Something Is Wrong With My Hair! Its NOT Normal?

You don't have a problem. Your hair is just naturally very oily, and a little wavy. Nothing's wrong.

Something Is Wrong With My Hair! Its NOT Normal?

you're a guy. just forget about it and go get a haircut for pete's sake. try and grow a package

Something Is Wrong With My Hair! Its NOT Normal?

I solved all my hair problems by shaving my head, and I've never been happier.

However, if you are not read to do that, then here is what I recommend:

Spend the money to invest on a visit to a GOOD salon and stylist. NOT Supercuts or Spastic Sam's, but a GOOD salon in your town. The stylist knows how to handle problem hair, and will give you a good cut that will compliment your type of hair. YES, I said "CUT!" Even long hair has to be cut and styled once in a while.

If you want to keep your hair long, then you have to invest in it. Regular salon visits will help you with this. Good luck!

Hair straightening to thin hair...?

I have extremely thick hair and get It thinned every month but it doesn't seem to do much difference (still very thick and heavy). Will using a hair straightener make my hair finer and appear less thick? Any other ways to thin hair?

Hair straightening to thin hair...?

Your hair may feel a little thinner if you use a straightener. Not sure why you'd want thin hair but don't use conditioner...it helps strengthen hair.

Hair straightening to thin hair...?

I have very curly, course hair. And when I straighten it it does make it thinner and more fine...But everyones hair is different. You could try it once to see if you like it

Should I buy a sedu straightener?

Should I buy a sedu straightener?

get a chi. it works GREAT. my hair used to be sooo frizzy and horrible looking, and my mom bought me a chi and now i use it all the time. i know its expensive, but its soo worth it.

Should I buy a sedu straightener?

it depends... If you have thin-moderate hair, go for a CONAIR one, but if you have thick hair, see your stylist and she/he will tell you what's right for your hair. thick hair is very different. Also, ask him/her if you have dry/permed/damaged/colored hair.

Should I buy a sedu straightener?

I have a chi and it works so good! It is totally worth every penny!

Should I buy a sedu straightener?

Hey if you wanna straighten your hair %26amp; don't want to spend alot of $ Buy a "Conair Ceramic" tool, it works %26amp; your only out like $20. Instead of $hundreds

I've been straightening my hair for a while now and this has never happened to me or any of my friends so I really don't think it's the flat iron.

Hair for Cotillion?

I have cotillion (formal dance) tomorrow. I am wearing a teal and black halter neck dress and a teal necklace. I am currently trying to work on hairstyles and everything I try isn't working. I have extremely light blonde (natural) hair. It very voluminous and wavy naturally. I own a hair straightener, straightening spray, hair spray, styling cream, hair curler, heated curlers, leave in conditioner, scrunching spray and blow dryer. Any tips on scrunching my hair or any other styles are appreciated. Thanks!

Will Straightening My Hair...?

I have really poofy hair. if i bought a hair straightener and straightend it, will it become flat.

btw, im a guy.

thanks in advance =]

Will Straightening My Hair...?

It depends on how thick your hair is, my sister's hair is extremely poofy and she has the thickest hair ever! It takes her a long time to straighten her hair, and its not that long either, What she does is separate sections of her hair and then pull part of it back with a clip, and then starts to straighten one part at a time. But be careful some straighteners can fry your hair and make it even more poofy. Try to get a protective one, but I'll tell you in advance they can be more expensive.

Good luck! :)

Will Straightening My Hair...?

use the Chi straightener it works great and your hair won't be poofy =) (it works for guys too)

Will Straightening My Hair...?

It will, for a few hours. Since you're a guy, I recommend going to a salon to get it professionally straightened because you won't have to iron it everyday.

Will Straightening My Hair...?

yes!

if it isnt a crappy straightner.. i have really curly hair.. but con-air works for me =) i hope to get a really nice one though

Will Straightening My Hair...?

STRAIGHTEN IT! DEFINITELY! ITS MAKES YOUR HAIR LOOK BETTER, AND LIKE THE OTHER GIRL SAID, USE THE CHI, ITS THE BEST!

Will Straightening My Hair...?

it wont become flat just straight, there are plenty of products on the market to sort this out for you rather than using straighteners which will damage your hair speak with your hairdresser.

Will Straightening My Hair...?

try it and see if you like it or not =-]

if you dont like it then wear a hat and dont do it agian

Will Straightening My Hair...?

Get One n Only Curl Remover by jheri redding....great stuff!

Will Straightening My Hair...?

well it will only straighten it for four hours

Will Straightening My Hair...?

ummmmm depends if your hair is processed or just a natural poof

but there thing you can put in your hair to help the iron straighten

btw when hair is straight you lose most of poof

but find a iron that takes care of frizz as well *** straighten

Will Straightening My Hair...?

No not if you use a professional hair straightener like from Trade Secret, not from Target.

Will Straightening My Hair...?

Yeah it'll flatten out.

Will Straightening My Hair...?

your hair will always become puffy again after you straighten it but my cousin bought an expencive one (about $100) and her hair was straight for like about 1 week or more and i have the cheap one ($15) and my hair will be straight for like 5 or 4 days o and if you have short hair like about to your ears then it will probably stay straight for a longer time. If your hair gets puffy again you can always straighten it again i mean you are not going to buy one and only use it 1 time.

Do you usually style your hair or wear it naturally?

i used to be addicted to my hair straightener, but i've been so busy lately i havent even had time to straighten it for days. it turns out i kinda like my natural hair now.

but do you girls style your hair on a daily basis or just wear it naturally? which do you prefer?

Do you usually style your hair or wear it naturally?

mines naturally curly.. and i straighten it stick straight to get all the kinks out and then use hot rollers to make it not so boring!

pretty bad for my hair but w/e.. its still easier than having to RE curl the whole thing everyday.

Do you usually style your hair or wear it naturally?

My hair is naturally curly. I wear it natural.

Do you usually style your hair or wear it naturally?

i USE TO STRAiGHTEN iT AND CURL iT EVERY DAY.

BUT I STOPPED I USUALLY STRAIGHTEN IT LIKE 2-3 TIMES A WEEK I EITHER WEAR IT IN A PONY TAIL OR DOWN.MY HAIRS STRAIGH ANYWAYS SO THERES NO USE IN STRAIGHTENING IT

Do you usually style your hair or wear it naturally?

If i had nice hair naturally i would but my hair needs to be straightend or it looks weird, but once my hair grows out ill def. wear it naturally!!! natural is da prettiest!!!!!!!! but of course when going out i do it

Do you usually style your hair or wear it naturally?

i have naturally curly hair so i just wear it in a ponytail, but if i feel like it i put hairspray in to keep the curls under control then wear it down. very occasionaly do i straighten it. i like it natural better

Do you usually style your hair or wear it naturally?

I use GHD's nearly everyday to straighting my hair i also use about 5 products everyday on my hair (Ghd and bedhead)

when i dont blowdry my hair i scrunch it with mouse and ghd's sea spray its really good :D

hope i helped

Do you usually style your hair or wear it naturally?

I wash it, blow dry it and straighten it...Everyday. I have to my hair sucks.

Do you usually style your hair or wear it naturally?

i wear it naturally like all the time. i dont wanna seem fake......

Do you usually style your hair or wear it naturally?

style it. blow dry then straighten, like 80% of the time. the rest i just shower, put some mousse in and go. it turns out wavyish/curly.

but i do prefer it straight.

Do you usually style your hair or wear it naturally?

I don't curl my hair (I have straight hair). I usually keep it simple in a bun, ponytail, or down. For special occasions I put it in a high ponytail or use a headband or clip. Clips and stuff are distracting and annoying to me though...

Do you usually style your hair or wear it naturally?

I wear it naturally, even if there's a party or any other occasions, I just brush it and leave it the way it is without styling nor anything, I just love my hair in its natural look!

just do a ponytail with bow in it

What are some cute easy hair styles?

You could the front layer of your hair up while the side bangs are down and put a bow in it and straighten it. Its a cute quick way to have extremely cute hair =]

What are some cute easy hair styles?

OK so the obvious answers are the fashionable puff on the top just bobby pin your hair up in the way where your bangs stand up and let the rest of your hair down or put it up in a pony tail. There are also tons of different variations of the Pony tail you could do.The half up half down pony tail and also the peacock bun aka messy bun. Also french braided pig tails are really fun and there is also a really cool thing called fish tailing that you can do to your hair its a kind of elaborate braid. and the Topsy tail which is like an inside out pony tail. All of these are really fun and are relatively easy.

Have fun and good luck

If I had the chi permanent straightener put on but now I want my curly hair back because it was full

Must I just wait for it to grow back or is there a reversal process and if so, is it damaging?

If I had the chi permanent straightener put on but now I want my curly hair back because it was fuller do I???

I had to wait and let mine grow back out.

If I had the chi permanent straightener put on but now I want my curly hair back because it was fuller do I???

Unfortunately you need to let it grow back out.

If I had the chi permanent straightener put on but now I want my curly hair back because it was fuller do I???

you have to wait f or it to grow out. The is no reversal for something permanent. The only thing you could do would be to get a PERM but that would be really damaging to your hair after having the straightener

If I had the chi permanent straightener put on but now I want my curly hair back because it was fuller do I???

Unfortunately you're gonna have to wait for it to grow back.. For the future, buy a chi ceramic straightener and straighten it only when you want it straight. otherwise leave it curly and then you have the best of worlds.

If I had the chi permanent straightener put on but now I want my curly hair back because it was fuller do I???

I got my hair straightened before %26amp; it only lasted a week! DAMN curls =)

Does anyone of you think using straightener or blowdrier makes any side effects to ur hair?

you can use both once or twice a week at a real low heat when your hair is almost dry.

use something like livon silky potion or sunsilk hair cream if your hair is really frizzy to straighten it.

make sure you wash your hair after every two days, massage oil into the scalp n hair before you shampoo and condition

then let your hair dry naturally, use the hairdryer if you are in a hurry, if not wait till it's almost dry then use the straightener at a low heat.

As long as you take good care of your hair, and use low heats your hair should be okay.

Does anyone of you think using straightener or blowdrier makes any side effects to ur hair?

yes...it dries out your hair by stipping it of natural oils and makes it brittle. if used too much or too hot...it also burns your hair.

Does anyone of you think using straightener or blowdrier makes any side effects to ur hair?

I use a straightener, and unless you use it daily, your hair will dry out or feel dead. I don't think blowdrying is as hair-damaging, since so many people use it.

Does anyone of you think using straightener or blowdrier makes any side effects to ur hair?

Oh yeah, it will cause split ends, even frizzier hair and sometimes even greasier hair. I know from personal experience, only use them when you have a special occasion. Natural is beautiful :)

Does anyone of you think using straightener or blowdrier makes any side effects to ur hair?

I used it weekly since i was 13 and my hair is fine so no i dont' think it have anyside effects

Does anyone of you think using straightener or blowdrier makes any side effects to ur hair?

Any heat or dryness, including the environment can damage hair without protection.

Does anyone of you think using straightener or blowdrier makes any side effects to ur hair?

Yes, it dries up your hair and gives you split ends. Try out a good (expensive) ceramic iron. I have one and I straighten my hair every day, and instead of drying it out, it's healthier than ever for some reason :o)

Does anyone of you think using straightener or blowdrier makes any side effects to ur hair?

it can dry it out- use products they have out there for straightening, it will help protect your hair from the heat.

Does anyone of you think using straightener or blowdrier makes any side effects to ur hair?

only if you mis use them.......make sure u use conditioners on your hair and have plenty of trims to keep it in glossy cond........good luck xxx

Does anyone of you think using straightener or blowdrier makes any side effects to ur hair?

it damages the shaft of the hair

Does anyone of you think using straightener or blowdrier makes any side effects to ur hair?

I use a blowdrier to make my hair look thin cause I have thick hair. The blowdrier also makes my hair look shiny.

Does anyone of you think using straightener or blowdrier makes any side effects to ur hair?

They can, but you can avoid most of the damage by using a thermal spray before you put anything hot to your hair. A tip: when blowdrying, be sure to blow from the root to the ends. This will help to keep the cuticle sealed and your hair will remain shiny. Cuticle looks like roof shingles and if you blow from the ends up, the "shingles" lift.

How long should I wait to straighten my hair again?

I chemically straightened my hair way back in May of 2007 with the Olive Oil hair straightener, which is designed for African American hair. I am Caucasian, but it worked pretty well. Since then, my hair has become curly again, so on Sunday I straightened it again. This time, I wanted to try something designed for Caucasian hair to see if it worked any better. I used Thermal Ionic from Sally Beauty Supply, which is designed for formerly color treated hair. It was a long process that probably should have been done by a hair dresser, and although my hair is significantly straighter than it was before, there is still a lot of wave and kink in it. I want to purchase the Olive Oil straightener again, but I'm wondering how long I should wait?

Also, when I used the Thermal Ionic, I did not leave the product in my hair as long as it should have. I also shampooed my hair earlier than was suggested (about 12 hours later, instead of the suggested 48).

How long should I wait to straighten my hair again?

honestly, wait as long as you can. all those chemicals wreck havoc on the quality of your hair, and if you are using a relaxer, you run the risk of literally melting your hair off (did you know that relaxer are made of the same ingredients as hair removers like nair?).

when you do straighten it again, do not mess with the previously straightened hair. only retouch what needs to be straightened.

good luck. honestly, email if you need any more help. i don't want you to come back with a question of "where to find a good wig?" ;)

How long should I wait to straighten my hair again?

Why can't you follow the instructions properly...? Almost everything chemically based that you use in your hair like a straightener needs to set... longer than 12 hours....

Please read the instructions next time and follow them.

How long should I wait to straighten my hair again?

well u should wait a pretty long time. chemically straigtening yr hair causes alot of damage

How long should I wait to straighten my hair again?

I would wait a while. you need to consult an expert. A fellow coworker of mine is almost going bald for straightening her hair too much. Its been a nightmare for her

Was Madam CJ Walker doing a disservice to black hair care?

When Madam Walker first developed a chemical to straighten the texture of african hair, was she buying into a concept that feeds into the ideology that what comes natural to people of african ancestory is unattractive and pave the way for psuedo european imitations in the form of weaves and wigs on black women? Would it not have been better for people of African ancestory to embrace what comes natural to them by learning to cultivate their hair in it's natural state? That concept of beauty is so deeply rooted. Contemptuous, self denial is reflected in black women spending hundreds and thousands of dollars imitating the European hair texture rather than appreciating and cultivating their hair in it's natural state. Madam C J walker was the first black woman millionaire to earn her money and that is certainly comendable. Was she more of a sell out than an entrepenuer? Did she mass produce more than a product selling hair straightener to black people to 'tame' what was natural to them?

Was Madam CJ Walker doing a disservice to black hair care?

I don't believee so. I believ that she did give us options.

As a black hair care professional she conjured the products that allow us such creativity with our hair. it is, to me one of our best features (besides the natural tan)!

All in seven days i can wear my hair:

braided

wavy

extended ponytail

bob

straight

and in a natural afro.

And even now that did lead to blacks creating products to naturaly care for our hair in its natural state!

Was Madam CJ Walker doing a disservice to black hair care?

Yes. Look at all the problems she's caused just because she's a self-hater. She sucks.

Was Madam CJ Walker doing a disservice to black hair care?

While yours is an interesting position to take, I feel that it is one afforded by the fact that you nor I ever had to live in an age where "whiter was better". The closer your features were to white the better you were received even by your own people. What Madame Walker did was simply capitalize on an insecurity. People regardless of race are vain and that is how the entire Beauty industry came about. So then if Madame Walker did us a disservice then so have all those that have gone before her and after her in this industry.

Was Madam CJ Walker doing a disservice to black hair care?

You have to place her discovery of technique to straighten Black hair in the context of the time....Black people were in general oppressed and treated like chattel or second class citizens and had practically no power...we had been outside of our natural (African)culture for hundreds of years and not been accepted into the dominant culture that we were living in....Black ethnicity was considered inferior as was our outward appearance, remember how light skin, straight hair of mixed blood Blacks was more acceptable to whites, so in order to SURVIVE a lot of Black people attempted to assimilate into the dominant culture by adopting European style and beauty standards....like straightening their hair, which, before Madame CJ could be disastrous, so in that sense, she did a service to Black women who wished to appear more acceptable in society....today, that point of view is not valid and unnecessary, Black people embrace our natural hairstyles and appearance, at least, most of us do, some of us are still victims of self hatred and still wish to posses European beauty standards, in America, that is still held as the epitome..it takes a real sense of Black pride to resist the temptation to have straight hair and other Eurocentric beauty standards.

Was Madam CJ Walker doing a disservice to black hair care?

No she wasn't doing a disservice. Black people are not the only ones who use cosmetics! All women use cosmetics....If hair relaxer is bad then so are the following things:

fake tan

make up

Butt implants

Skin bleach

Lip injection

Hair weave

Hair dye

Extentions

False eye lashes

Breast implants

Contact lenses

All these things are done by White and Black women....nobody is completley natural, what is so bad about hair relaxer! lol Every woman likes to improve their appearance! Its not always about culture and history, its just that women like to enhance their features....I hate it when people make out like black people are the only ones who use cosmetics! If black people hate themselves, then we all do...

Was Madam CJ Walker doing a disservice to black hair care?

black women were straightening hair before Madam Walker. her product just made it easier.

that is like giving bill gates credit for inventing the computer.

Was Madam CJ Walker doing a disservice to black hair care?

Hey all inventions have a good side and a bad. Like the man who made airplanes said he never would have if he knew they would put guns on them and go to war. He just wanted to help his people experince a new form of transport. So im sure madame c.j. walker wasn't thinking like that when she did what she did. And if she hadn't made it believe me people are smart someone would have figured it out and black people would be using it.

Was Madam CJ Walker doing a disservice to black hair care?

It is a huge misconception that she made products that straightened hair. No she made hair products to keep the hair healthy and less prone to falling out, after the straightening process. Her first product was a hair tonic used to keep the hair well moisturized and to make it grow (because she became temporarily bald herself). So no I don't think she did a disservice. She was the one who made it possible for hair care products specifically aimed toward black hair (which I'm sure you use at least one hair care product aimed at black hair) to be in existence. Her hair products were like motions, pink lotion, etc. of today. And NO she did not invent the pressing comb, nor did she invent the relaxer, and NO she was not the first one to suggest black women straighten their hair, it was long practiced before her. I suggest you read up on what she invented and actually look at her hair and the people who used her products hair before making such harsh statements

Zomgshh hair loss :o !?

lmfaoo basically... I'm 13 years old, and have been straightening my hair for a year, with a pretty crap hair straightener! I use tons of different heat protection products as well! And for awhile my hair was getting dry etc.

About year term i get a haircut. Since the first semister i've had simple layered hair. In the next semister, i've changed it into a short scene mullet.

The scene mullet requires alot of hairspray and texturing paste etc. As soon as i had it cut as that, i notice some of my hair was falling

Now the situationn has becoming more serious. My parents said they could see thinning of my hair at the top of my scalp %26gt;_%26lt; ! So yesterday i tried the hot oil coconut treatmeant, my mum said my scalp wasn't even that bad. Afterward i washed my hair out, my hair was more shiner as well as softer. But i still have really dry ends.

I can get alot of answers to these i guess, but i'm only 13 so don't go crazy with answers :p !

Im runin outvof room! more questions? ask me :]!

Zomgshh hair loss :o !?

your hair is mad at you because you toreture it way too much. You even gota nasty mullet, that is so dumb. using too much hair crap can actually give you cancer, so get it checked on. Trust me, im in beauty school.

Zomgshh hair loss :o !?

sometimes in the shower my hair falls out.

mostly because i wear my hair up alot and it pulls my hair out, but i have very thick hair so it doesn't make much or a difference. it's probably all those products. i don't think straightening your hair will do much damage but the products probably do. splurge on a good hair straightener if you really straighten your hair often. it may help.

i hope this helped

Zomgshh hair loss :o !?

well your consistant straightening and hair products can definitley cause hair loss. but also, as with my hair, i found that the changing in weather has also caused my hair to thin, especially in the summer. (but all hair is different) to take care of the dry ends, get a trim and while your there, ask your hairdresser if there is anything you can do to help your situation. good luck! =]

Zomgshh hair loss :o !?

well, first of all, straightening your hair damages it.

i already had thin, fragile hair, and after straigthening it for almost three years with no break, it started to thin and look really bad.

i ended up getting sidebangs so i could put my hair up [ and it looked good ] and not straighten for a while. my hair stylist also gave me a special shampoo and conditioner to repair damaged hair.

now its much thicker and is really starting to get better.

i found that after giving it a break and using the products i use, it is much more managable, and if it want to leave it down, i can, and i dont need to straighten it.

so, you have some choices. you can find a style that you like that doesnt damage your hair, talk to a professional about the best protection, or you can just stop straightening your hair for a while.

you should also have your hair trimmed often so you can keep the dry and split ends off. some say that trimming your hair makes it grow longer, faster. but i dont know. =D

good luck.

it will work out.
