Does anyone of you think using straightener or blowdrier makes any side effects to ur hair?

you can use both once or twice a week at a real low heat when your hair is almost dry.

use something like livon silky potion or sunsilk hair cream if your hair is really frizzy to straighten it.

make sure you wash your hair after every two days, massage oil into the scalp n hair before you shampoo and condition

then let your hair dry naturally, use the hairdryer if you are in a hurry, if not wait till it's almost dry then use the straightener at a low heat.

As long as you take good care of your hair, and use low heats your hair should be okay.

yes...it dries out your hair by stipping it of natural oils and makes it brittle. if used too much or too hot...it also burns your hair.

I use a straightener, and unless you use it daily, your hair will dry out or feel dead. I don't think blowdrying is as hair-damaging, since so many people use it.

Oh yeah, it will cause split ends, even frizzier hair and sometimes even greasier hair. I know from personal experience, only use them when you have a special occasion. Natural is beautiful :)

Any heat or dryness, including the environment can damage hair without protection.

Yes, it dries up your hair and gives you split ends. Try out a good (expensive) ceramic iron. I have one and I straighten my hair every day, and instead of drying it out, it's healthier than ever for some reason :o)

it can dry it out- use products they have out there for straightening, it will help protect your hair from the heat.

only if you mis use them.......make sure u use conditioners on your hair and have plenty of trims to keep it in glossy cond........good luck xxx

I use a blowdrier to make my hair look thin cause I have thick hair.The blowdrier also makes my hair look shiny.

They can, but you can avoid most of the damage by using a thermal spray before you put anything hot to your hair. A tip: when blowdrying, be sure to blow from the root to the ends. This will help to keep the cuticle sealed and your hair will remain shiny. Cuticle looks like roof shingles and if you blow from the ends up, the "shingles" lift.
