Straightener help.?

I have REALLY thick, coarse, and curly hair that can be really hard to manage. I bought a chi hair straightnener that cost me almost $200 and it works really bad. It leaves my hair wavy and poofy. I'm looking for a really good ceramic hair straightener that is at least 1 3/4 inches (i have long hair) and that isn't more than $90....help

Chi is a real rip off, the straightener that works for me is iso international www.isobeauty.com I am half lao half puerto rican and so my hair is thick curly and flyaway frizz and the iso makes is smooth and i can also curl my hair with it and it comes in different colors really good straightener once you get the methods down...It also works for my sister who is half puerto rican half black, her hair is like wool and it made hers sleek and smooth although she needed a relaxer also..

By the way it cost about 80 dollars

i have the conair wet/dry straightener. i have uber thick hair and this works miracles on my hair, and it is like 20 or 30 dollars.

the wet to straight is good, but the Remington brand is beter than the conair brand. i have extremely long and wavy/fizzy/poofy hair and after i use it, it's sleek, smooth, and perfecly straight. it's only about 25-30 dollars at walmart, the grocery store, whereever! you'll love it! :)

chi IS NOT THE BEST! i know from experience! i prefer conair! i know some stuff is cheap but there is a great straightener that you can get at target for $13.59. its not as thick as you would like but it works really really well. and it does not fry your hair. i know because i have it and my hair is ultra curly and i straighten it every day. u can go hereto check it out:

woha! that sucks... well it should work.. i use straightners all the time... first u have to make sure ur hair is dry.. you dont wanna use it while ur hair is humid or wet.. that would PUFF out your hair horribly... also, make sure you do it by sections.. just grab a little peace of hair (and you tie the rest in a pony tail) and go through it several times REALLY slowly till its straight..it should work... well, if it doesnt.. i cot one in walmart for like 50 bucks.. but really, i dont think a 200 hundred dollar straightner should go to waist.. you might not be using it right.. i dont know...

well i dont have any product to offer you. but also have thick, curly hair before, and the only solution for me is to get it straighten to a salon, we call it here " relax". i will keep you hair straight, i mean really straight for 6 months, and of course maintenance of it is important. you should return your hair after 6-8 months after the treatment..for me this is the best solution you dont have to worry on anything..you just wash it every day, use conditioner everyday..then thats it...wash and wear!

well i dont think is the Straightener....all Straighteners work the same u just have to figure out how to do it!!! dont waste ur money on expensive items like that!!!well u should straighting ur hair like 2 times so it really could work...if u say ur hair is really puffy n curly....than maybe thats the problem....try straighting it like 2-3 times n u'll see it will work! lol
